The hotel is in a good location with plenty of restaurants, fast food places, shopping and gas stations nearby. Right across the street is a Walmart and right next door is a McDonalds, but the noise and traffic is not a factor. My room was very clean and spacious with a very comfy chair and bed with extra pillows. All the amenities were nice and in perfect working order (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron). It was well lit with 3 table lamps, a floor lamp and a desk lamp. The television was nice and had a good amount of channels but was glued down so I could not turn it to see it better from the chair, The desk clerk I dealt with was very nice and helpful. The only drawback I saw was there was no outlet beside the bed. I'm sure I'm like a lot of travelers and like to have my phone nearby even at night, I have stayed here before and I will definitely stay here again.
My husband and I had to find a temporary place to stay until our new lease began and this location was close to our storage and new home the front desk staff was so kind and understanding when we had trouble with our bank and replacing our funds they were kind and sympathetic especially Joselyn and Chris during a family emergency the housekeeper are always smiling and do a great job keeping the rooms looking nice and making us comfortable during this transition not to mention great prices and someone always at the front desk willing to help
I've stayed at many super 8s and had many different expericnces-not all good. This was a very nice, quiet, clean motel with a good breakfast bar and no negatives-extremely friendly staff-an older hotel but very well maintained
These review always tell the bad stuff so here we go...bed was too hard to sleep in, had to beg for towels, stayed for two nights and was worried about the driving and safety issues ALL the time. One thing, the people were nice (unless you asked for clean towels) and the continental breakfast was clean and sufficient.
We were walk ups in the early evening and just looking for a room for the night. Quoted price was about $85 which shocked me . I assumed the entire city would be expensive. It is an older property but it was clean everywhere we went, most importantly our room. We were all happy with the room . The bed was very comfortable. Location was terrific! Alot of food options very close. The Air Force Academy is only a few minutes away as well. I don't know how many rooms this motel has, but the parking lot seemed very small. The woman at check in was very friendly . Since we visited about a month ago I don't remember exactly what was offered for breakfast, but it was enough of a snack for us that we didn't need to eat again til early afternoon. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The room didn't appear to have been vacuumed anytime recently. We booked a double occupancy room for 4 guests and they only gave us 2 towels. We informed the front desk and they did give us 2 additional towels, however, when the cleaned the room the next 2 days, only 2 total towels were left each time so we had to continue walking down to the desk each day to obtain additional towels. The last 2 days of our stay they did not clean our room at all. The 2nd day we called the front desk to let them know and all they did was send a maid up with clean towels (only 2 again) and a roll of toilet paper. They didn't offer to clean, empty trash, take the dirty towels.
I was very surprised see this room because day before we spent 2 nights in Super 6 and this hotel was wery nice clean and better standards. I was thinking Super 8 should be better but wasn't. Maybe it's good to stay one night if you have too, but I don't recommend stay longer.
I called to see if they had early check-in and I was told no. I could only check-in at 3 pm at the earliest even though their website and sign at the counter say check-in is at 2 pm. I arrived at 3:30 pm and was told my room may still not be ready. Unacceptable. Luckily they had just finished cleaning it.
The location was great, close to shops and restaurants, clean, easy access, fair to good continental breakfast, could use updating but if clean and price are your priority this will work for you. Very close to the Air Force Academy which is a must see.
This stay was decent if not poor. The room was stinky. The elevator kept trying to fall floors. It is definitely in need of repairs. The showers were filthy with mildew and mold. The entire place had what I could only assume was working class woman. Scantily clad with tattoos and looked strung out. For over 100 a night I would have rather stayed on the other side of town, paid 50 more, and been in a 5 star hotel.
