This is a lovely small, modern hotel that is just a short walk from the old town. The staff are welcoming and nothing seems too much trouble for them. We had a classic double room, which was spotless and spacious. Unexpectedly this came with a small balcony which was big enough for a small table and two chairs, this was a great surprise for us as we are smokers. Breakfast was an excellent buffet, with some hot foods and certainly filled us up ahead of the long journey back to Calais. There is parking next door, it's public, but behind a barrier, cost is 10 Euros. We only stayed one night, but this is a place that is definitely on our to return to list.

5 min stroll to the old town, quiet, public parking nearby. Modern, pleasant decoration, clean throughout. Our Superior Room was large with a very good bed & bathroom, quiet and efficient air condition despite the heatwave outside. Cold free water bottles in the fridge. Nice breakfast, breakfast area a bit cramped. Very good, friendly and efficient service.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Amazing service. Friendly and professional personnel. Very clean, spacious, and comfortable room, with free water, tea and coffee. Excellent location for visiting Colmar.

We had a suite which was modern, exceptionally clean, tastefully furnished and very comfortable! Everything you could need. We, being English, like tea with milk and this was quickly found by the helpful staff. ‘Looking out over the rooftops of Colmar’ is true but from our suite they were very average rooftops! The balcony caught the sun nicely and when we had lightening in the evening we were able to lay in bed with the door and massive windows open enjoying the cool and fresh air The bathroom had a lovely, large bath as well as a really good shower. Everything was straightforward and useable with good quality products. At breakfast the scrambled egg was being kept warm and this can result in a rubbery quality but not here! It was possibly the best scrambled egg ever!! Welcoming and thoughtful staff completed a very happy stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the James Boutique Hotel. We arrived a bit early for check in, and the staff made lunch recommendations while storing our luggage. The room and entire property were exceptionally clean. The service in particular stood out for us, especially Agathe, who made every effort to ensure we had a comfortable stay. It is a quick walk to the heart of old Colmar.

One of the best Hotels we have ever stayed at. Amazing service and the room was so fresh and clean! The staff was very helpful and serviceminded. Free water and coffé in the room every day. Location is perfect, 3 minutes walk to the center with restaurant and stores.

During our road trip we stayed here and we were so impressed we change route on the return journey and stayed again.A clean comfortable hotel just a 2 minute walk from the centre. A family owned hotel with exceptional staff a good breakfast selection and clean rooms.

Our room was super comfortable. As mentioned, we went during an extreme heat wave and the air conditioning was actually really wonderful, almost too cold for me but perfect for my husband (just like home!) The Nespresso coffee maker in the room was a nice treat but we did have to ask for cream. We also did not find robes in our room but they were available for the asking. The small refrigerator offered space for our wine purchases as well as complimentary bottles of water daily. The shower offered both a rain fixture option or a hand held that stayed in place. Pressure and temp were great. The toiletries were simple and the towels large and clean. I was concerned by some of the photos when I saw what looked like a window between the bathroom and bedroom. No cause for worry. The panels of glass are frosted and there is a shade that comes down easily for privacy. There were plenty of drawers and shelves to unpack and spread out. Breakfast is available for an additional fee and so worth it. Michelin chef Jean Yves Schillinger oversees the selection and with a wide variety, it meets every need. Scrambled eggs, bacon, pastries, fruits, yogurts, juices, breads, cheeses, cereals and he beat self-serve coffee, latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate machine EVER! Parking is available and it is in a lot behind the hotel. There is a 10€ per night fee but there are a few free spots if you are able to find one. Such a wonderful stay in a beautiful little city. We would highly recommend a stay at the James Boutique when visiting the Alsace region.

James Boutique Hotel was the perfect place to stay while enjoying Colmar. This new hotel is a few minutes walk from the center of the old town therefore it has the advantage of a new hotel in convenient locaton. the room was not very big but for us it was good enough: it was super clean, great bathroom and wonderful bed. Really, we slept so good! The only downside of the room was the cars`noise that comes from the street but since there was an excellent aircondition it did not bother us. the staff was very kind and helpful. We loved the stay!

We stayed four nights in early June in a Superior room which had a balcony (though like most in Europe small) and a sitting area. It was a roomy room, very comfortable, modern looking and very new. Location is just at the end of the old town and thus easy entry and exit with everything in walking distance. Parking is around the corner in a gated lot and the hotel provides tickets that allow you entry and exit, assuming you paid for parking. Breakfast was very good though I would have preferred the scrambled eggs a bit less loose. But we always felt we had a great breakfast before leaving for the day. The best thing each day was being greeted by the front desk staff, which were Ilaria and Agathe, who were always exceptionally helpful and friendly, and each day when we returned asked how our day was and what we did. We travel a lot and having such dedicated staff really makes our stay. We would return to the James on our next stay.
