Came into town with a last minute booking. Front desk staff was friendly and fun to visit with. Room was extremely clean and the location was quiet. Great breakfast in the morning and it’s close to lots of great restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.
This being a hotel that runs on the cheap side, we got just what we paid for a semi comfortable place to rest our heads for the night. Would recommend it if money is an issue. My only complaint is that it could have been a little cleaner.
We've stayed in nearly a dozen and half Quality Inns and this one was possibly the best. Very nice room, great wifi, quiet, offered soup from 4 to 6 and milk and cookies from 7 to 8. Never had both offered before. The breakfast area was outstanding. They offered the standard fare, but the room was very spacious (not so in may motels), clean and neat. They served breakfast until 10 which is a real plus. So many close at 9. We got there about 9:15 and there was still plenty of food. Would definitely stay there again.
We stayed here over a year ago and it was fine. Husband booked a night recently for our road trip. I didn't think to check reviews. 10 minutes to the motel and I checked the recent reviews and freaked. We decided to at least check it out as it was getting late and if the motel seemed dirty as described in recent reviews we would not stay. The lady at the front desk was very nice and said she was new. The lobby seemed fine. I checked over our room more than I usually do and it was very clean. Even the window sills were nice and clean. We had a good stay. The bathroom very clean, bedding clean and comfortable. I always wear flip flops while in a motel room and my light colored flip flops were clean when packing up the next morning. Maybe owners/management really do read reviews!
This place was filthy! Pubic hairs on the tub, open hanging light fixture, rumpled sheets and when I complained they tried to put me in another room that was OCCUPIED!!!! Then, they said there were no more rooms available and the clerk said she would change the sheets which she did but used the same gross quilt. We sleep without the quilt and my son was woken up in the middle of the night by a bug!
Cleaning staff only changed sheets and towels; they didn't clean the room. Bathroom floor not washed, tub not washed, microwave full of old food, tables not dusted, bedcovers looked dirty. I should have paid better attention to accommodations.
We stayed for two nights at this inn, but had some difficulties right from the start. When we checked in, we were assigned room 110. After loading our luggage on the trolley, we went to the room, only to find that in had not been made up from the last guest. We returned to the front desk, and were assigned room 114. Upon arriving at that room, we found the housekeeper, who appeared to be a young college student (summer job?), was not finished with THAT room, but we unloaded our bags and waited until she finished to unpack. We normally like to have at least three pillows apiece, but when we asked for two more pillows, the housekeeper reported back to us that no such extra pillows were available, a first for us who routinely find that our bedding requests are cheerfully accommodated at every other hotel we visit. When we returned to our room after spending the day in Coeur D'Alene, we found that neither of our two room card keys would open the door. We had to return to the front desk to have new cards made. Finally getting into our room, we found that no one from housekeeping had touched our room all day, and as it was past 5PM, no one would tend to our room. We reported this to the front desk as we checked out, to be told that other guests had reported the same issue, but that the person on the front desk had no certain idea why our rooms had not been touched. One other item: The breakfast area contains a breakfast cereal dispenser labeled prominently with the Kellogg's Raisin Bran packaging materials, but the contents ARE NOT Kellogg's, as far as I can tell as a lifelong KRB eater. The Bran flakes were coarser, thicker and tasted different, and I've had bulk KRB packages from Costco, so I know that what this motel is serving is NOT the real thing. Overall, I would have to say that this motel is in need of some serious management changes if it is going to provide a decent consistent lodging experience.
I called about a month ahead of time and chose this hotel because of it's close proximity to the wedding. For what I paid ($147 per night) I was robbed blind. The room was dark, one light didn't work which we told couldn't be fixed that night, but the maintenance man would take care of it the next day which he didn't. the refrigerator was falling apart and when we came back to the hotel on the second day, our card wouldn't work to get us into the room!! The room was mediocre at best. The freeway is right next to it. No swimming pool or really any place to sit outside. The fitness room is an elliptical machine, a treadmill and some weights. The breakfast was not impressive, burnt sausage is not my favorite. Not impressed at all and won't be staying at this place again.
Somedays are better than others. Day one we checked in at 6pm and room not quite ready. Room (207) was updated and clean. Beds slept good, bath was clean and air conditioner cold. Second floor so used stairs, no elevator best we could tell. Pet friendly, although had to call front desk as a dog barking in next room. Swiftly rectified. Breakfast room didn't seem to have dedicated attendant and had to ring front desk bell for milk, forks, etc. This hotel a short 5-6 mile drive to Coeur d'Alene and room prices $60- $120 less, so a good value if you have a car to get around. Customer service Good selection of restaurants west of hotel. Ate at Timber Gastro Pub and GW Hunters and highly recommend both. Walmart nearby too.
Stayed here during a road trip with a cat. Was told my room wasn't ready even though it was past the check-in time. I was told it would be approx. 10-15 minutes. I wasn't offered another room but asked for one because I wanted to let my cat out of its crate after a long day on the road. The lady seemed a bit irritated on my request but complied. She told me it would have to be on an upper floor instead of the main floor I was reserved for. Told her I didn't care. When I went up to my room I saw the cleaning people working their way down the hall and no cleaning crew on the main floor so I suspected they were much further behind in preparing room than I was told. Typical budget room and amenities - very average. Decent pricing for a place to just crash for a night.
