Mercure Nantes Centre Grand Hotel

Short stay in Nantes

This hotel is conveniently located in the downtown area of Nantes. It is close to tourist sites, shopping, public transportation, and restaurants, including the popular L' Entrecote. Coming from the US, we wondered why the beds did not have a top sheet, only the comforter; A top sheet would be more sanitary, unless the comforter is washed after each guest. However, this was one of the few hotels we looked at in Nantes that offered twin beds.

Le Grand Hôtel de Nantes

2-star Hotel that should have 3

This is a beautiful hotel. Because of the special price and 2-star rating, I was expecting something not so nice. The room was very clean and while it was a small room, the bed was very large and the bathroom was huge. It's an old building, recently renovated. Great staff. The only problem was their computer was down, they never received my Orbitz reservation - or payment - and I got charged twice. Still fighting for a refund!

Oceania Hôtel de France Nantes

My second visit

My second visit to this hotel as I had enjoyed myself in the lovely city of Nantes last year. Hotel is in great location, and my friends and I were keen to visit Les Machines, the home of the Sultan's Elephant and where La Princesse, a giant spider originated - she visited Liverpool last year and we loved her ! Staff are so helpful and friendly and the breakfast included in Orbitz price was excellent.
