Stayed in two connected rooms, which was perfect for a family of four. Breakfast in the room was good, although the quality of the fruits could be better. The building looks great. The location is perfect.
Beautiful venue but rooms are depressing with small roof window you feel trapped in an attic instead of a mice hotel once you get out of the lobby area. Breakfast service and variety should be improved.
We stayed at the Radisson Blu in Nantes last summer and a current stay at another Radisson reminded me to finally write this review. What's to like: + great location in Nantes - close to many restaurants and shops + nice breakfast with a good selection What's not to like: - Misleading fotos of the rooms show Junior Suites with a sofa corner. Our Suite however was really small and didn't have a sofa. Being pregnant sitting on a designer chairs is really uncomfortable so we had to purchase a very expensive upgrade to a one bedroom suite ... which finally had a sofa. - very long waiting times at the reception - expensive parking
When we checked in the girl on reception was just miserable I asked about parking she just said across road I asked about bringing cases in she said two words the stairs not a problem I am a fit guy but some people would struggle with the stairs we later found out there was a lift I can't really understand y she didn't just say that. I was a concierge member I booked it on there app normally u get a welcome not from this girl I asked about was breakfast included in rate she said no that's ok I am a concierge she said no your gold u don't get it she said look at the screen you are gold to be fair I have been downgraded as I missed out by 2 stays but her attitude was poor in fact I will say normally the best thing about raddison is there staff are happy and chatty not this lady she didn't just get out of the wrong side of the bed she must of fell out from a top of a bunk bed. There was no wifi on the floor we were on I phoned down apparently there was a problem and I should of been told on check in what a surprise they did offer to move us but it was 830pm and we were only staying one night and it was too much hassle with two children. The hotel is nice and central not sure about modern/old interior but that's a matter of opinion the rooms were nice clean and tidy
The Radisson Blu Nantes was originally the Palais de Justice and converted into a fine hotel by the architect Jean-Phillippe Nuel. The hotel has 142 rooms and centrally located and within walking distance of the shopping centre and all the many places of interest including the castle, cathedral and of course Les machines De L`ile. We arrive extremely early at the hotel to be met with a warm welcome from Julie on Reception who provided us with comprehensive information on the facilities of the hotel together with a map and guide book of the city. Our room was ready to move straight into even though we had arrive over two hours before the official check-in time which was a delight after an early start from the UK that morning. Our room (236) was a Junior Suite on the second floor and extremely well furnished throughout with ensuite bathroom and a separate toilet. The bathroom had a selection of ThisWorks toiletries which are replenished has required. Complimentary bottled water supplied and replenished daily. The room also had a chargeable minibar which again replenished daily. The restaurant L`Assise is located on the first floor and open for breakfast, lunch and Dinner. Breakfast is served Monday-Friday 6.30am-10.30am and 7.00am -11.00am at weekends. Lunch is served 12.00 -14.30 daily and Dinner is served 7pm-11pm Monday - Saturday. The bar Le Preambule is open for drinks and snacks 10.00am -midnight Monday-Saturday and 10.00am -11pm Sundays. The hotel also boasts a spa and fitness centre although we did not visit during our stay. The interior of the hotel is extremely impressive throughout and certainly gives you a "WOW" feeling the moment you enter. the restaurant is situated in the original No.1 courthouse and again very atmospheric.in a very modern building on the opposite side of the Loire and close to Les Machines de L`ile. The televisions in the rooms have the following English channels - CNN, BBC World, CNBC Europe, Bloomberg and Al Jazeera. Over and above the impressive structure of the hotel we found the greatest asset being the hotel staff whom we found all to be extremely friendly and helpful and fully represent the company "Yes I can " service ethos. This certainly made our stay all the more pleasurable and definitely the hotel to stay whenever we manage to return once again to the city of Nantes. can highly recommend the Radisson Blu hotel to anyone arriving on business or for leisure.
Fabulous service, even happy to allow a 3:00 o'clock check out as we were unwell on day of departure. Great breakfast and every staff member seems to go out of thier way to help, english freely spoken. Very centrally located with only a short stroll to shops and central dinning areas. Follow the green line that outlines the city centre.
The Radisson is a renovated hotel in an historic court building, which makes it beautifully distinctive. The lobby is visually gorgeous. The rooms are large and quite lovely. The location is convenient to everything you might want to do in Nantes.
Modern and freshly renovated hotel in the city centre of Nantes (near the main city square and shopping) and a quick walk to the water, this hotel is centrally located. The business rooms are modern and fresh with comfortable bedding and spacious bathrooms. Lots of counter and storage space in the room as well and a safe in the closet. Nespresso coffee in the room was also a nice touch. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast with lots of choice and delicious coffee. The waitstaff and front desk staff are always happy to assist with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel for a discerning traveler.
I stopped here for a couple of nights in June with friends. It was a nice coach ride from the airport. When we arrived we all checked in and went to the rooms, mine was a twin room when I had booked a double. All my friends had a double with walk in shower. We all paid the same, so I went to reception as it must of been a mistake and I was told to push the beds together and that I couldn't move rooms. This was not good enough as we all paid the same and my room was a lot less than the others. So I put up with it and the rest of the stay was nice. The food was good and the hotel is in a good position. I possibly wouldn't stop here again as I didn't get my moneys worth. Would recommend it though.
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blue in Nantes. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable. Amazing bathroom, too. Breakfast was terrific. Lovely old building, the former Palais de Justice, with modern touches. The staff were very helpful.
