Modern and freshly renovated hotel in the city centre of Nantes (near the main city square and shopping) and a quick walk to the water, this hotel is centrally located. The business rooms are modern and fresh with comfortable bedding and spacious bathrooms. Lots of counter and storage space in the room as well and a safe in the closet. Nespresso coffee in the room was also a nice touch. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast with lots of choice and delicious coffee. The waitstaff and front desk staff are always happy to assist with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this hotel for a discerning traveler.
I stopped here for a couple of nights in June with friends. It was a nice coach ride from the airport. When we arrived we all checked in and went to the rooms, mine was a twin room when I had booked a double. All my friends had a double with walk in shower. We all paid the same, so I went to reception as it must of been a mistake and I was told to push the beds together and that I couldn't move rooms. This was not good enough as we all paid the same and my room was a lot less than the others. So I put up with it and the rest of the stay was nice. The food was good and the hotel is in a good position. I possibly wouldn't stop here again as I didn't get my moneys worth. Would recommend it though.
I very much enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Blue in Nantes. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable. Amazing bathroom, too. Breakfast was terrific. Lovely old building, the former Palais de Justice, with modern touches. The staff were very helpful.
We re-visited the hotel again this year and we are very impressed with the consistency of the services and hotel set up that make you feel at home. the breakfast is the best part of the stay as you can enjoy a wonderful choice of great selection of food and excellent services.
The sun was beating down in Nantes and the Radisson provided cool respite. The decor is as impressive as depicted in the photos, having breakfast in the old courtroom with its high, decorative ceilings was charming . The rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated in dark colours and I loved the light switches in the headboard to switch off all lamps easily. It drives me batty wandering around hotel rooms trying to figure out how to switch off all lamps. Added bonus is the city centre is within easy walking distance and there's a tram stop 5 minutes away.
We were passing through Nantes on our way south and wanted to stay in Nantes to sample city life and culture. This is a good hotel in an iconic building. Very well modernised and the modern blends in well with the old. Most of the old building has been lost to modernism but lovely ceilings and panelling have been retained. The reception space is huge but inviting and the staff welcoming. The bedrooms ( we booked an upgrade) were great, spacious and. Comfortable with every modern requirement and very comfy beds. We ate breakfast and the choice and variety were all we could have wished for and food was freshly prepared and good quality. There is a spa although we did not have time to try it. Overall a great place to stay in Nantes
Given that it was originally the Palais de Justice, the Foyer and restaurant are very impressive. We were in a junior suite, which was really just a bigger room than the standard, but it was well fitted out, comfortable and very quiet. The staff were friendly, helpful and bilingual (at a minimum). We only had breakfast in the hotel but the buffet spread was adequate (perhaps more fresh fruit and the concept of tea was interesting) and there were a range of additional items that could be ordered of a menu. The hotel is well located with the partly-pedestrianised centre of town (shopping, bars, restaurants) and most main tourist sights within easy walking distance. A great base for a long weekend city break.
Nothing special in Nantes. Everything is very very standardised and it totally lacks personality. Front desk was not very helpful (when asked were we could have dinner the girl told us its busy in Nantes and everything is full...). Its ok for a night, but not longer.
You have a problem because of the bad service provided by people from the reception desk. Also, do you think is normal to pre-authorize 300 euros on the day of my arrival even though the room price has been paid before???
This hotel is housed in a lovely historic building but the interior is super modern. It just doesn't fit and more importantly, it is 90's modern. Nice staff and lovely location. If updated with more subdued colors it would be best hotel in Nantes.
