A very helpful reception giving great guidance as to what was around and what to do was the start to a comfortable one night stay. The room was clean and tidy and provided all of the essentials for a quick stay. Close enough to the city centre to access plenty of restaurants and sight seeing.

The reception is very helpful with information and directions. There is no lift to the first floor, but the reception is kindly help me to carry my suitcase down. Close to the bus stops and plenty of busses on Riccarton Rd to many different destinations. Happy to stay there.

We recently stayed at the Riccarton Motor Lodge for only one night before we left for our road trip round the South Island. The room was clean and the kitchenette appeared to have all that was needed. We had a second floor room at the front and there was some road traffic so I suggest you ask for a room towards the rear of the property. Reception staff was friendly and provided some useful information. There is parking on site. The Lodge is up the road from a Westfields and there are a number of cafes and restaurants close by. My other piece of advice is don’t forget to draw the door curtain or you will have light coming in all night.

This Motel had most of the comforts of home. Just a touch on the smaller size, but still ok. Parking ok, location ok too, but a bit far he you want to walk to the Riccarton mall. I have stayed here before and Happy to stay again if required.

My family of 5 adults stayed in a 2 bed 1 bath apartment on the Ist floor (ground 1). Since there are only 2 floors ( ground, first), there are no elevators, so we had to carry our large bags up the stairs. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us carry the bags. The rooms were very comfortable, all.amenities were good. The check in/check out was simple too. We found a kerala cuisine "pothichor" at a 3 minute walk and were elated. The airport is about 20 minute drive from here. There is a westfield mall at a 25 minute walk. There is a bus stop rignt in front and can be used to go to the city. Westfield mall.is one stop away. This location is away from the city so we took multiple ubers. Didnt know that NZ does not have uber XL for five people. They only have uber for 4 people. Also the buses do not accept credit card, need to buy the transport card. Overall we enjoyed our stay at riccarton and would definitely consider booking them for a future trip.

Main living area was very small and more suited to a maximum of 2 people. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was OK with basic necessities. Sofa in living area was quite uncomfortable. Overall not a bad place to stay, but nothing outstanding about it.
