Bealey Avenue Motel

My husband and I have just spent two nights in a queen studio at this motel. The location is good and the standard of cleanliness is excellent. We enjoy cooking when staying in motels and the equipment provided , including sufficient pans , utensils and a double hob and microwave, were more than adequate to produce a nice meal. Our studio was at the front of the building and the double glazing definitely muffled the noise from the nearby road. However, as one of our days was very warm, when we opened the windows, the noise from the road was quite intrusive. I suspect this wouldn’t be a problem with rooms further away from the road. When the weather was cold, the heaters in the bathroom and studio room were really efficient. We would happily stay here again.

We stayed in a family unit with a double bed in the main room and two singles in a separate bedroom. The room was a bit dark but generally okay. Internet is provided with network logins in the room, and didn't appear to be capped or charged for. A couple of things on the room: * We discovered a left-behind pill on the floor (possibly out of one of the kids beds) which, when googling its number, turned out to be someone's left-behind prescription medicine. It was probably innocently missed by a cleaner, and we threw it in the bin before the young children found it. * The advertised spa bath didn't inspire us with confidence. The bath required lots of water to fill to the required level. When switching on, the bathroom filled with a sulfur smell. Probably it just hadn't been used for ages, but we drained the bath, aired the room out and didn't switch it on again. A separate issue was service was a lacking. At arrival the person at reception was disinterested in speaking about anything to do with the area. He simply stated what room we were in, and that was about it. He also ignored the EFTPOS card being presented, which we took to mean that payment would be made upon leaving BUT we then later found (after calling the bank!) that a hold for our 2 full nights of accommodation had been placed on the VISA debit card we'd provided when booking. This was done without informing us, and seemed unethical as well as very inconvenient, because it messed up all the money we'd allocated to that account. Everything was okay except for that.

This place is brand new. The room was very clean and even had a kitchen with coffee s and teas. We were very happy we picked this hotel. About a $30 taxi ride from airport. We were only there for 1 night. Got in 1am and Chuck out was 10 am. Waking distance to city center.

I stay at this motel quite often and have never had a bad experience, it's always clean, quiet, well priced and the owners and staff are so polite and happy to see you. If you're looking for a clean and tidy place to put your head for a night or two you couldn't go wrong here.

Was unimpressed to find big black hairs in the bed. Unit is small but adequate just needs a clean and restyle to bring it up to the price we payed for it. Location is good and wifi was good in my opinion there are better places to stay for the price.

Very good location. Rooms very clean although quite small but practical and well set up. We were impressed. Everything was neat ,tidy and there were new appliances etc. The fact there were two cooking elements available was attractive to us.

Absolutely everything was what you'd expect from a motel. The room was clean and adequately heated. The bathroom was the same. Parking was fine and check in was effortless. Easy walking distance from some decent restaurants. Recommended for a quick stopover when your not expecting what you're not paying for.

Stayed 2 nights Clean motel room, sheets, towels aplenty, bathroom and amenities. Everything works. Excellent value too. 20mins walk to CBD Mobil 24hr Station for supplies is 5mins walk No reason not to stay here again.

If you like clean and a reasonable price you will be happy. Everything was in good order the highlight for me was the internet connection was easy and fast unlike other motels where you have to fight a third party provider to get average internet. Could do with the eye of an interior designer to give it a sparkle. I'm not happy with as i get charged extra. Now i think TA use them. I may have to review less. That Will learn them.

Spotless, attractive rooms, well equipped kitchen and great location with a friendly and helpful proprietor. But the rooms are noisy; the internet is slow and there is only one iron which is lcoated in the laundry. However this is a budget motel.
