Four of us travelled together but booked two rooms. Our bed was comfy but the other unit had a much smaller uncomfortable bed and the floor was uneven and flooded when they used the shower.. unit number 1. Did not smell nice either

Very comfortable and very clean spacious unit. There were 3 of us in a 3 person unit but only towels, cutlery, dishes etc for 2 people. No milk and very few tea bags, coffee etc. Comfortable bed. Shower over the spa bath that was a bit ‘tricky’ entering and exiting. We were there for 3 nights. Staff helpful.

I cannot rate the Alpha highly enough on here! Joy was the loveliest and kindest lady who welcomed us when we arrived, arranged a change in rooms and also helped with our bags! Joy went above and beyond to make our stay extra special! Will absolutely always stay here on trips to CHCH from now on!

Not up to scratch!

I've stayed here a few times and had been okay so far, but the bathroom this time wasn't great. The two heat lamps didn't go and when you looked at the state of the unit it was pretty bad. Also I turned on a wall switch which must've been for the spa bath, which suddenly started going, but you couldn't turn it off at the bath as the switch there looked broken. The heat pump looked like a panel had been broken and was noisy as well. A bit tired overall, especially for a motel that uses the word luxury, when it is far from it.
