I was greeted by a gentleman called James who was very friendly and attentive. My room was on the first floor at the end. There were plenty of towels and there were tea and coffee making facilities. I'd booked a twin room (I was a solo traveller) as it was the only one left, however both beds were very uncomfortable - one was very hard and the other was really soft - almost like being on a waterbed. The room was clean other than the net blind which had a dead insect in it. The room needed updating as the decor was very tired. The bathroom was a good size. The hotel doesn't have a separate area where guests can park but the car park is huge so I wouldn't envisage any problems there. The hotel is also dog friendly - there was a water bowl and dog treats in reception. There are plenty of food options in the main service building. I found it quiet - it is near some factories, pylons etc so it isn't in the least bit picturesque! I do feel £85 was steep but the races were on. It's in a good location off the motorway junction and there's a drive through Costa and a McDonalds, WHSmiths in the main building.
This hotel is a motorway hotel situated within a service area. I found it to be extremely quiet. The room was clean and functional. The bathroom had enough clean towels. The gentleman on reception when I arrived about midnight was pleasant and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. If you've stayed in a Days Inn anywhere in the world then this hotel is typical of what you would find.
Lovely stay and very quiet for being at the service station, mattress a little hard, room was clean and very big
Booked on the morning of arrival with no problems. Very easy to find off the motorway with services at your fingertips. Costa, Spar, McDonalds. Quick check in was good. This is a pet friendly hotel and you should be aware that if after your shower you walk on the carpets with wet feet you WILL end up covered in pet hairs!!! Vile!!! Apart from that one gripe the hotel was quiet, a little too warm but comfortable.
Excellent overnight stop for our journey. The only disappointment was the very hard budget quality mattress with audible springs which left sore backs in the morning.
The rooms were very clean and tidy, nobody on reception when I arrived or left so had to wait around, with 2 small children that was a bit of an issue.
We are a family of for and stayed for one night. The hotel was spotless, the beds were extremely comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. We had read a few reviews about there being noise from the motor way however we didn't hear a thing. The thick black out curtains really helped with getting our children to sleep.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy but tired round the edges. We shared the room with our children and their pull out bed was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs under the sheet and the covering was bobbling, which you could also feel. Luckily my son was so tired he just crashed out. Breakfast is inside the services area and if you buy a £7.50 voucher from the hotel you can get food from either Mcdonalds or the cafe up to the value of £10.00, so a good deal really. The cafe was fine with a limited selection of cereals or cooked food. I'd use the hotel again as a stopover on route to my holiday destination.
Stayed here for one night with family so didn't need to set of from home really early for an event we were attending. Arrived late evening and staff were polite and given our room on upper level. The room was large and had double bed and two singles. It was surprisingly quiet overnight even though it's just off the m56 motorway. The wifi was free but I didn't find it was great and must have been local issue because I have stayed at other days inn hotels where it has been fine. I found my mobile signal not great in this area too but that might have just been my network three. As it is at the services off the M56 there are number of retail outlets close by if required. The parking was free if staying at hotel and just need to provide your registration. Would stay here again if on a budget and need a cheap room for the night
Ideal stopover hotel for Holyhead.Functional hotel in need of a refurb. Good facilities in adjacent service area. Plenty of parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Good for a short stay, clean bed, internet. Beware industrial fumes on occasion from local abbatoir and other industries.
