I absolutely love this house, it’s our second time staying here and will continue to come here, all the friends love staying here, it’s a beautiful property with the river in the back just so relaxing.

Family Vacation

This home was wonderful to accommodate our large family ranging from 2 years to 71. The disc golf course and grounds were great. We would definitely come back again.

The Taylors and Roger’s take on the mountains!

Two families coming together for a few days of fun, adventure and relaxation. We had a blast, we loved the accommodations and scenery, deer were aplenty, we were cozy and had great memories.

best stay ever

I have been to so many cabins till now with my friends and family but by far this is the best one. I have not seen such a authentic place very spacious, amazing view, lot of things to do outside as well. Everything was arranged, we had everything we want, worth the price.

Just Amazing !

We had such an amazing time staying at this house , not only the house is absolutely beautiful but then you have the river in the back that is so beautiful and peaceful, we are coming back again for sure.

Wonderful Cabin for Families

This was the most beautiful cabin we have stayed in. Our three generation family vacation was awesome. The cabin is gorgeous and has so much to do. The river area is a great place to hang out. Also enjoyed the disc golf. The balcony overlook has the most beautiful views. All of the rooms are nicely appointed and we enjoyed a lot of meals in the kitchen and dining room. All of the kids and grandkids want to come back to this cabin next summer!

Great getaway

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this home. Both times it did not disappoint. Amazing layout and spacious home with a huge backyard and outdoor patio area. Will look forward to coming back again!

Very relaxing

A beautifully renovated home with everything you need. Check in was virtual and efficient. Firewood delivered to property prior to our arrival. Very much enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor spaces as well as the large kitchen. Would warn that Goose Island is very hilly so if traveling in the winter, 4WD would be highly recommended!

Best Cabin Rental I've ever had!

I've rented many properties over the years and this one is hands down the best! The hosts really went out of their way to make this a top notch furnished cabin - top of the line appliances, furniture, and amenities. Our group loves to cook and we really enjoyed using the big green egg to smoke a brisket and we honestly OVERPACKED with kitchen utensils expecting them to be lacking but they were not! The patio could have used a spray of water to wash off the pollen but that's the only complaint we had - will definitely stay here again!!!

Three generations girls trip

Incredible property in every way! Most beautiful outdoor areas and location I could have hope for. The home itself was spacious, well thought out , well stocked and just perfect ! We would love to come back for a longer visit. The only reason I didn’t give a perfect rating was that we did not have gate codes and home codes to easily check in. Took a little time to work through but the number provided to call lead us to a super friendly and helpful lady who helped us get both issues worked out. The other issue was that we were unable to get the spa and outdoor gas fire working. We called maintenance and they came out but did not fix the problem so we were disappointed that we were unable to spend time using the spa and sit by the lowered level fire. Two things that we anticipated being part of our evenings. But again we would most definitely return!!

We will be back

I hesitate to leave this review because I want to keep this place a secret. This is a gorgeous home and setting that could comfortably accommodate 3 families with kids. It is a short trip to Blue Ridge, but we were perfectly happy never leaving the property. House is very clean and beds are super comfortable. 3 master suites and awesome kids space. From the river setting to the gourmet kitchen to the outside fireplace to the disc golf - it has everything. The trip up the stairs and back to the house from the river will get your heart rate up, but we just considered it an excuse to have one more s'more or glass of wine by the river. Easily the nicest home we've rented in the area, and we will definitely be back.
