Noontootla Creek in the North Georgia Mountains is world-renowned for trophy trout fishing. Located in the highly desirable Aska Adventure area, Noontootla Cottage is a prize in and of itself.
Drive along easy gravel roads that meander through the mountain base to arrive at this ideal new home whose design style was inspired by old farmhouses. Its pastoral setting is equally idyllic, situated in a clearing, surrounded by woodlands and fronting the fresh mountain stream water made famous by fly fisherman.
Noontootla Cottage is like stepping into a scene from classic American literature, but updated for this century. Sitting amongst the corn field with its sharp roofline angles, stacked stone chimney and open, front deck, the white farmhouse immediately sparks child-like enthusiasm. It sleeps seven and is perfect for a leisurely, fun-filled family getaway or for a couple of parents treating their kids' to their first fishing excursion. Complete with it's own putting green, pickleball court, and hot tub, Noontootla Cottage has something for everyone.
Inside, there are open spaces, crisp white walls and plentiful windows letting in loads of natural light. The airy rooms are cozied up by rich and dark, wide-plank hardwood floors and ceilings with wood wainscoting and beams. Fine family room sofas with clean lines surround an inviting brick-face and stone fireplace. The dining area offers a large farmhouse table with seating up to eight. Completely upscale, the kitchen is outfitted with ample cabinets with butcher block countertops and the ultimate in large, high-end appliances to make it easy to cook the day's fresh catch and comfort food side dishes.
Noontootla Cottage has two bedrooms with queen size antiqued-iron beds and 'country-chic' décor. The style is a mix of sleek furniture and timeless quilted bedding, all offering the comforts of home. There are two bathrooms all of which have clean, vintage-yet-modern fixtures. Upstairs, there is an open loft with three single beds perfect for the kids' sleep-over. In fact, with all of the fishing and nearby hiking, biking, lake and river fun, they may even be tired enough to sleep at night.
First, however, you may have to indulge everyone with a s'mores festival down by the lovely fire pit. Here, you can tell old fisherman ghost stories while the background of rambling creek water provides the perfect sound effects. Perhaps the little nighttime fright will encourage the kids back for a rowdy game of ping pong on the screened porch.
This is the finest farmhouse in an anglers' most prized location. Let Noontootla Cottage reward you, not just through great fishing, but through an entire experience that will reconnect you and your loved ones for a most memorable mountain vacation.

Noontootla Cottage
Limited access to Noontootla Creek. No deep holes in access points. Fishing not great. Cabin was great. Enjoyed seeing deer every day. Interior of cabin(we had every appliance for cooking. Furniture(couch and love seat need to be replaced. That being said we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
I hope there is enough room. My overall rating is a 5/5, there were some 4/5 elements, but they could be an easy fix. A couple of VERY important things to know. This place is in the middle of a field/pasture, and it is absolutely beautiful. When I entered the house, I almost cried. It was adorable, rustic, perfect. However, the main couch needs to be replaced, but his is fixable. There are a TON of dishes and cooking supplies. we got absolutely NO cell reception, but that is NOT a bad thing, and the WiFi worked great. The creek is beautiful, and you can hear it run day and night, but there is no fish, which again is OK, and apparently that was a common complaint in the guest book is "no fish." The pickleball court was extremely well maintained and there was a light for night playing. Camp fire was huge, and you can pick up wood from just about anywhere. It took a solid day for the hot tub to heat up, but worth the wait. we had to call the managers to help us turn on the gas fire place, but that was a quick fix and they were VERY friendly. It should be noted that due to the design of the home, which is wide open, it can be loud if you are trying to sleep, but also very fun...Remember the Waltons, we could all hear each other giggling. Oh! And our dogs, two german shepherds, I truly think they think the whole vacation was just for them. The lot is mostly fenced, but our dogs don't wander. They had the BEST time. We could barely get them inside!
