Park Hyatt Chennai5.0 out of 5.0

I've reviewed this property at least once before, but as I just completed another 20-night stay at the Park Hyatt Chennai, I thought I'd write another review. Overall, my stay was nearly perfect. At this point, I feel as if I know everyone who works at the hotel, and I know they all know me by name. One thing that impresses me about Park Hyatt Chennai is the minimal turnover with the staff. People seem to work here a long time, and I've been seeing the same familiar faces in the restaurant or at the front desk for quite a while now. This suggests that the hotel is a good employer and that employees are content here. And this shows in the service, which is excellent. What I like about the Park Hyatt Chennai is that the service is functional, but subtle. If I were staying for one or two nights, I might want something showier. But as I'm there for several weeks at a time, I prefer that the hotel's staff is able to take care of anything and everything I might need, but without a big fuss. The extended-stay package is an excellent value.
I've been to quite a few places in Chennai and this one happens to be one the many underrated places to be at any time of the week. All the joints here have a special feeling to them. Just magically covers up for all the time taken to reach here. Must visit
Firstly I have to say that if you're going to come to Chennai and your looking for an hotel that ticks all the boxes then this is the place to stay. Everything about the hotel is perfect, the staff are very friendly, and the beds in the rooms are extremely comfy and the rooms are easily the best I've stayed in. It gets to the point where your sometimes humorously trying to find the smallest problem about this hotel but honestly you wont. You really cannot go wrong here, get it booked it's perfect. I have to give a special mention to Dinesh who always makes sure your booking is in order and greets you with a smile. Arun and all his front desk staff who can never do enough for you and from the Restaurant the chefs and staff always making you feel extremely welcome serving lovely food.
The Park Hyatt is very well thought out and tasteful. The food is good and the service attentive. The rooftop Infinity Pool has a good view over the park. The room standard is very high. I could not improve.
Super ambient atmosphere,go for joyful celebration, nice food with good taste and quality...Prime-Exclusive location...in center part of city.easily reachable...Good timepass with friends and also all bondings
The Park Hyatt Chennai is simply the world's best hotel! The room is laid out perfectly. The lobby is comfortable and beautiful. The front desk, doormen/security, housekeeping, pool staff and restaurant staff are very accommodating. The rooftop pool and view of the city are stunning. The food in both restaurants is top quality. Each stay has been luxurious and beyond satisfying.
Once again business trip in Chennai and stayed at the Park Hyatt. Just as previous visits excellent hotel with good hospitality and service. Rooms clean, quiet with good internet connection. Breakfast buffé generous with both indian and international food.
Stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. Room was great. Very well appointed and quiet. Buffet breakfast had a wide variety of food and was very enjoyable. Staff were extremely polite and always professional.
Stayed for 4 days and by far the best hotel experience I had in Chennai. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Room was spacious, clean and too comfortable. Breakfast is outstanding. Park Hyatt will surely be my first choice when travelling to Chennai.
I honestly wish I had a minor thing to complain about, so that my review would seem more realistic, but my stay was perfect! I spent 3 weeks at the hotel for business and the staff made each one of those days as good as possible. The dining room staff all went out of their way to make sure I had my hot breakfast, coffee, and water always remembering my preferences. Lunch, dinner, and drinks were absolutely wonderful as well. I did not discover the snack menu in the Flying Elephant until later in my trip, but I highly recommend that menu when you want a light dinner. Finally, do not miss the Sunday brunch with unlimited international drinks for a little more. You will not be disappointed! The spa, exercise room, and pool were all quite enjoyable as well. The pool is quite relaxing to sit by to escape the busyness of the city. The hotel room was always stocked with bottled water, fresh fruit, and plenty of towels and bathroom amenities. What to say about the staff? I couldn't begin to explain what a wonderful job they did to make me comfortable. Each day my laundry was returned clean and nicely pressed. At the last week of my trip, the staff recognized that I was packing and began to return my dress shirts boxed instead of on a hanger without me even asking! I spent my birthday in Chennai and was greeted with a lovely chocolate cake in my room when I returned to my room from the office that day! I have many more stories about how great the staff was, but I will share just one more to give you an idea of their level of hospitality. I decided to order a delivery pizza one day (missing the tastes of home!) to the the hotel. The doorman insisted on bringing it up to my room for me and making sure I had a plate and silverware. A little while later there was a knock on my door and a staff member was standing there with two complimentary ice cold beers to go with my pizza. You will not be disappointed if you stay here except when you have to leave back to the regular life!
