Whenever I visit South India, I always stay in Le Royal Meridien.Being a Starwood Gold member, I prefer hotels with good ambiance and service. Cilantro staff, Kannan, Sateesh, Janani and vijay impressed me the most. I was sick so they paid special attention to my food and the chief chef Williams personally made some soup to sooth my sickness. Such outstanding staff are keepers and the hotel will only get good reviews like this if staff also are rewarded and treated well. Kudos to the staff.
My room was serviced by a crew lead by Mr. M. Anbazhagan who was first class. The service was excellent in every respect. Hotel serves wide varieties of food selections for breakfast. Will defiantly come back!
We only stayed one night at this hotel for a layover in Chennai before heading to Delhi the following morning. A few reasons we were a bit turned off with this property were: - Reception staff who checked us in didn’t seem to care too much about welcoming us - Staff who took our bags to our room stayed around, seeming to wait for a tip (we had to politely ask him to leave) - When we asked concierge for information on how to get a cab to see some local sights, we were pushed to hire a hotel car (no info provided at all) - Room was one of the worst hotel rooms we’ve stayed in: old, tired and dated! Even the bathroom amenities were poor quality! The only helpful staff at this hotel was the one who assisted with our check out the following morning. I’d reconsider staying at this hotel if you need to stay close to the airport. For an extra 5 minutes the ITC is just up the road and was where we should’ve stayed instead!
We spend some wonderful hours relaxing at the pool and eating lunch in the restaurant next to the pool. The pizza was the best we had tasted in India - according to Indian standards. Also the chocolate brownie fudge for the dessert and the fresh fruits juices were very tasty. What really marked us and that makes us want to come back was the excellent and heartful service of Mr. Murail in the restaurant. Not only did he take time to answer all our questions and do everything possible to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. He also let us use the pool with clean towels for free even though we were not guests at the hotel. A plus is also that they redistribute all the leftovers to the poor. No food is thrown away, nothing is wasted. It makes one feel less guilty paying the high prices knowing that we somehow contribute in a cycle of helping the poor.
Had time again this time to kill and decided to visit Le Mirage Spa again - Took a 90 minutes Massage treatment. Therapist was from NE, she had medium pressure hands and knew what she was doing. Much more professional, the booking, the treatment and post-treatment usage of Steam room was all neatly done. The Spa still doesn't have Couple facilities, though they seem to do a lot of Couple treatments in make-shift two-room with a door facility. Also, the Spa patrons have to walk out of the room into a Reception full of people half-clad to reach the Steam Room. Kind of annoying.
Perfect days at this hotel. The staff was superb, very courteous and welcoming. A special shout out to Mr. Anbuazhagan, my room attendant who made my stay so special. His towel art put a smile on my face when I walked in the room at the end of a tiring day. The restaurants and bar was fabulous. Breakfast was to die for! Thank you for a very pleasant stay. This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. Will definitely return.
I definitely would stay at this hotel again. "Perfect stay!" We stayed here for our wedding night! It was a wonderful stay with an awesome room! We had a dinner at sea food restaurants. Amazing food and great service from sajan Singh. Thank you for hotel team .
The best among all hotels I have ever been The hotel went out of their way to deliver the best service. From checkin to the breakfast and the dinner service we have a wow experience. Food variety was great keep up the great work and well done to the entire team!!!
I would like to thank Chef Veera Kumar and Vesu for making such delicious vada for my breakfast during my stay here. I am fans of vada and they both shared the tips of making palatable vada. They even showed me how to make the best lentil donut with fresh ingredients. The details was even down to the temperature of the oils to cook the vada. My honour to learn and see the making of the vada with Chek Veera Kumar and Vada. Thanks once and for making my business trip with the yummy breakfast to start my day. Thanks for the hospitality and thumbs up for the food Chef 👍🏻
The hotel is located not far from the airport , it’s staff is helpful and courteous, excellent breakfast included, spa and other amenities also contributed to the stay. Highly recommended for business or pleasure
