Probably the best room and hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I was lucky and was given a room upgrade to the one bedroom. The other reviews have said most of the positive comments I would have made anyway. I will definitely come back to this hotel. Very happy I stayed here. Getting there. I took the airport shuttle bus costing 10 CNY and took about 20 mins. I paid for Line 1 as the last stop is the Minshan Hotel which is near Fraser Suites. They put me on Line 2 instead, but drove past Minshan anyway. I went inside Minshan to ask for directions and Fraser Suites is about a 5 minute walk away. Going back to the airport I took the metro. 5 CNY from JinJiang Hotel metro stop (Line 1). It took about 35 mins which includes the two transfers that were required. Use exit C2 as it is closest to the hotel. If you go to the hotel via the metro then use exit C2 and continue walking in the same direction as you exited. The hotel sign is less than 100m away. It is located beside the Yanlord Landmark office and shopping mall building. I would recommend taking the metro both directions as the shuttle bus was crowded and the traffic could be bad, but in the metro you need to transfer twice.
The hotel is nicely located near the largest shopping area in downtown Chengdu. The staff was helpful, courteous and very friendly. The room was nicely decorated, ergonomically layed out and specious. The bathroom is spacious and well designed. The only drawback on our stay was the shower room which was a bit moldy, the front desk was informed of the problem and pictures were shown..hope they correct this issue.
We stayed here for two nights and wow what a great hotel. It felt like a home away from home, we had a deluxe 1 bedroom apartment which was spacious. It had a seperate bathtub and shower, kitchen with many appliances plus washing machine, lounge room, 2 TVs plus a 3rd in the bathroom and a comfy couch. The bed itself was large and also very comfy. The hotel is well located walking distance to Tianfu square and plenty of food options. We loved our Stay and for the price feel that it was a bargain!
In general, I would definitely return to this place if ever back in Chengdu! The staff is friendly, the rooms are very nice and very well maintained. Breakfast is not impressive: the juice could be fresher and the fresh fruit more plentiful. And where are the dumplings for breakfast? We missed them. It is difficult to get a taxi directly to the hotel, but just cross the street and hail one; there are many! The location is very good regarding restaurants and other options, and Chengdu in general is a liveable and nice place to visit!
Not much I can say as the hotel room presentation and the complete room service was exceptional. No other hotel compares. Small issue with the washing machine, rang and it was replaced straight away. Close to everything, even the airport shuttle bus was 5 minute walk.
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a quick weekend trip. Our airplane arrived very early into CTU, so we decided to go to the hotel early. We were charged an extra early check-in fee (approx. $60 USD), but found it to be worth the money after a long flight. Front desk staff spoke English well and were polite. Hotel was in excellent condition. The lobby is large, spacious, and welcoming. The room was also nicely appointed and immaculate. The bed was very comfortable. I found the bathroom to be one of the best parts of the room, especially with the separate rainfall shower and tub. Daily breakfast was great with a wide selection of Eastern and Western dishes. The food was plentiful and was a great way to start the day. Also a wide variety of teas, coffees, and espresso. Location was also very good. Although the hotel sits above an upscale shopping mall (which was not the main purpose of our visit), it seemed very central to all of the main attractions of the city. Mini marts are available nearby and restaurants were within a short walking distance. Overall, I have no complaints about this hotel. I found it to be an excellent value and I would certainly stay here again if my travels bring me back to Chengdu.
Always had good experiences at the Fraser Suites Chengdu, and it's my #1 go-to when I stay in the city. Conveniently located 5 minutes walk from the last stop of the Airport->City bus service (RMB10 only!) it's easy to get to and from the airport. I especially like the unfussy experience, it's not a grand 5* hotel with all the trimming, but it has everything that a business traveler needs: Large rooms, smooth check-in/out, good amenities (Malin & Goetze!), fast stable wifi (with access to ALL websites *wink wink*) and a hidden gem of a restaurant that does great Western/Asian/Chinese comfort food at very reasonable prices. I've stayed 4 times and counting, will surely stay there for my next trip also.
Stayed a total of six nights with a three night gap in the middle while touring Sichuan bush when Fraser kindly stored our bags. Front of house staff efficient, friendly and went out of their way to assist with anything needed and this attitude was found in the dining room for breakfasts (which were expansive and fresh) Rooms (suites) were large and fully equipped with everything needed to make yourself at home, including washing machine which was utilised fully after a week in the wilds of Tibet. And did I mention clean? The rooms were spotless. Nearby are malls and malls and restaurants and restaurants and a short taxi ride away is the teahouse Shufengyayuan for the Sichuan opera, Bian Lian. We'll be back!
Stayed here for 3 nights and totally enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and clean and came with a kitchen and washing machine where you can cook you own food and do your laundry. We were given a non smoking room on 22nd floor which was nice. It has all the amenities you need (including hairdryer, toothbrush and toothpaste, inroom wifi). The bathroom came with both a bathtub and a rain shower. Breakfast was great as well with a pretty good spread. Service of staff was excellent too. In terms of location, its near to Tianfu Square and has a mall attached to it. There's also a Carefour diagonally across the road. Highly recommend to start here when in Chengdu.
Loved our stay there. The rooms were impeccably clean, the facilities were fantastic, the staff of the hotel were extremely helpful and friendly (we had troubles getting taxi to Jinli Street and two of the staff used their own accounts to book taxis for us, paying upfront for the fare for us :) great initiative!), buffet breakfast yummilicious! Not to mention the very convenient location! Well it really isn't a hotel :) but serviced apartments. But everything else works here like a hotel. There's a business centre, a pool, a gym, a yoga room, a children playroom... The hotel also has shuttle services to nearby tourist spots. And the price was amazing for all these goodies! We're definitely coming back if we went to Chengdu again!
