Fly to Mayaguez, Cabo Rojo to experience a culture with a passion for mangos. The reason: the island has a seriously high concentration of mango trees. Because of this, the city has become famous for many popular food enterprises. The city was also a major rum producer during the 20th Century. Mayaguez, Cabo Rojo was originally inhabited by the Taino Indians, and several of their relics can still be explored here.
