We enjoyed our stay at the Springhill Suites Chattanooga Downtown/Cameron Harbor. The hotel location was interesting and we had a beautiful view of the Harbor. We were in walking distance to food and entertainment. The only minor complaint is the sofa bed mattress was a little uncomfortable to sleep on so we will get a room with 2 queen beds next time. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.
pleasant stay. it is very annoying of all the "hidden" fees. hotel is within walking distance to downtown which is nice.
Pros: -Location. Within walking distance of downtown. Beautiful view of the river. -Comfortable Beds -Modern Look. -Hotel has a simple but nice pool & hot tub. Also a gym but we didn't use it. -Complimentary breakfast. -There was live music & a fire pit in the evening. With toddlers we didn't go down there, but it looked fun! The music was great! Cons: -You can't see the TV from the couch. It's between the couch side of the room & the bed side of the room, but it turns towards the bed. When I tried to turn it toward the couch it would not turn. -There's no DVD player. We brought a few movies for our toddlers to watch while we get ready but couldn't use them. -The bathroom door is very cool but does not lock. It is a sliding door, which turned into a very fun game for our toddlers. We couldn't go to the bathroom without them opening the door wide and bothering everything--like the toilet paper & the tissues. Is a locking door that difficult? -There is no tub. I love to soak in a tub, but the real problem is that we couldn't give our babies baths. With a 1-yr-old & a 2-yr-old, we definitely needed a tub. -They charge $9 for parking.
High price to stay, plus had to pay an additional fee to park in the Hotel Parking lot. Breakfast was OK. Beds have numerous squeaks and pops. Staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Don't think we will stay there again.
We have four young children and struggle to find safe, clean, and affordable accomodations. Not only did this stay meet those requirments, the continental breakfast was outstanding, rooms were very comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and professional.
We had hoped to take advantage of the riverside locatio for walking into downtown but the weather did not cooperate. Nevertheless, if you don'tmind a bit if a walk along a nice reiverwalk, the location is great for downtown access.
Great hotel. Would stay there again. Wish it was closer to downtown or had a shuttle to take you downtown. Also, wish the bar stayed open later.
A short walk from Chattanooga life; aquarium, children's museum, restaurants, art district, a kids park, horse and carriage ride, electric tram, river boat. Though the views from the rooms are not perfect because the hotel is located on the river in a short stretch of redevelopment, the rooms are clean, comfy & modern, but a little small for 6 people (we had 4 kids & 2 adults). Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great (as long as your diet is not too restrictive.) Price was excellent. You do have to pay to park, as it is a public lot.
Hotel was great, but someone at 3 am pulled the fire alarm! We had to evacuate in the rain, got the all clear to return inside, but they couldn't get the alarms off! I don't live but 45 minutes from the hotel so we checked out at 4 am! We were told we would get a refund, I'm not sure how that will work since I booked through you. They are supposed to contact me. My rating would be excellent when I receive a refund.
Fire alarm was pulled and 3 am and have to evacuate in the rain. Stood outside in cold for 40 mins when we were aloud to go back in the alarm preceded to go off for another 30 mins at least. When I spoke with the concierge she told me that she couldn't do anything for me for the inconvenience because The room was booked with a online co... but if we booked our room with them instead i would get points and 50 percent off room.. now what kinda sense does that make... I still spent 200 room after taxes...
