We drove 12 hours and this was the first available room. Checked in and went to our room on the back of the property, where there was a party goin on across the parking lot from our door. Loud music and people. We turned the ac oh high and tried to drown out the noise. At 2 am the guy in the room next door was yelling at them to shut up and turn the music down and then slammed his door. Actually he was the first of many to do that. We didn't get much sleep. The breakfast was fine. Overheard several guests complaining about the noise. Mentioned it at check-out and the clerk told us that someone had called the police but they didn't know what was done about it. No adjustments were made to our bill for the inconvenience. Nor were any apologies offered.
I receive the lowest rate. (CLC) So they stick you in their worst rooms. I'm in my 2nd room, hot as Hell , AC is programed so that you will sweat through the night. This place sucks. Newly renovated, with BS AC units. Not to mention the Internet service is slower than dial up. The TV went out as I typed this review. No answer from front desk.
The room was decent. We stayed 2 nights. The room had some gnats and mosquitos in it but other than that it seemed clean aside from finding a couple of stray hairs in the shower before either of us used it. Between night 1 and 2, housekeeping didn't up much effort into tidying up. The bed was poorly made and the trash wasn't emptied. They did pick up the dirty towels and replace them. I was just unimpressed. They had a typical continental breakfast with link sausage, biscuits and gravy, apple/orange juice, cereals, breads/bagels/pastries, a waffle maker, and coffee. The biscuits were tough and not very many choices for a protein to start your day but we ate close to time for them to shut it down so maybe it would have been better had we eaten earlier. We didn't swim because the pool water was green but had we noticed some nice lights in the pool that change colors at night. Also, there was some construction going on around the pool house so that may have contributed to the color of the water. Many other trip advisor ratings gave this place a 4 or 5 so I guess I was expecting more. Also, there was a strange spotty stain in the carpet next to the bed and cigarette burns in the comforter, a small gash in the wall and some chipping in the corner of the door to the bathroom. Again, I just wasn't impressed.
We recently spent a week at the Clarion in Cleveland, TN due to hurricane Irma evacuation, along with many other people doing the same thing. The kindness and hospitality shown us during this stressful time was outstanding and very much appreciated. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was awesome, we were able to keep up with the news and updates from home due to the free wifi, the staff was great, and very helpful! I felt like we were friends by the time we left TN. If you have to be stuck somewhere to ride out a storm, this is the place to be! I'm hoping to go back someday on vacation, and would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much to all the staff at Clarion Cleveland for taking such good care of us, and genuinely caring about us. A special thanks to Tiffany H., who took time to talk to me every morning and care about how we were doing. Julie F.
We were passing through and needed an affordable place to spend one night. The Clarion was perfect-great rates, friendly staff and super clean rooms! Breakfast was a good basic continental (just no water). We would absolutely stay here again- and I will be more likely to choose Clarion Inns as a place to stay on future trips.
We liked this hotel very much the rooms were clean WiFi , nice TV and the staff was very courteous Excellent place to rest after hours of driving. Major stores, gas stations and places to dine surround this hotel. We would stay again
Came in town for a few friends for a wedding, so just needed a place to get ready and to sleep. A 1 is a generous rating for this inn. At first glance, the inn appeared older but it was cheap so that's to be expected. On entering the room and attempting to take a shower, it seemed that no one had swept or cleaned the bathroom since the last guest. There were black hairs on the floor, the toilet seat was left up, and there were pubic hairs on a few towels haphazardly thrown on the rack. There were four of us, so we intended to use the pull out couch bed. On unfolding the bed, we discovered crumpled used bedding. It was not replaced and it seemed the only thing done in cleaning the room was the making of the master bed, which also had pubic hairs on the cover. If you are looking for a clean night's sleep, this is not the place to go.
My husband and I were in the area to leave our son at Lee University. We knew we wouldn't be spending much time in a hotel room, so it didn't need to have all the bells and whistles. Clarion Inn in Cleveland, TN fit the bill. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. I would love to have checked out the outdoor pool, but time did not allow for that. We will obviously be visiting the area again and would stay at the Clarion.
If I could give this a zero rating that would be generous. This is an older motel in desperate need of remodeling. A few reviews commented on the remodel but our room certainly wasn't one of them. There are several issues. The toilet seat was loose and when I sat down it slid sideways. We notified the desk and it was fixed. While preparing for bed we found the sink stopper wasn't connected to the plunger and to get the water to drain I had to take the stopper out. The stopper had a gob of hair on it which really grossed me out. The bath tub stopper was also broken and the tub wouldn't drain. I didn't realize this until the water was up over my ankles. I got out of the shower and called the desk. The clerk said the maintenance had left. Her solution was to move to another room. That was not something we were open to as it was after 8pm, I was naked and wet, we were completely unpacked, and being in our 70's exhausted after 12 hours on the road. I did express that we would expect a discount. When we checked out we asked the clerk if the night shift had noted our issues. We also informed him of the sink problem, the towel rack that was falling off the wall as well as the toilet paper dispenser which would come out of the wall when you tried to get the paper off the roll. The clerk spoke with Ryan Powers (manager). We were denied any discount because they had offered to move us. I guess customer inconvenience isn't important. I'm sure had we moved we wouldn't have been compensated either. I will be contacting corporate regarding this. In conclusion we chose this motel based on the reviews higher than average posted on TripAdvisor. Lesson learned! Oh another problem the weather stripping around the door was shot leaving a quarter inch gap between the frame and door. If after reading this you still choose to rent a room you may want to request that it is opposite I 75 as the road noise is terrible.
This was a good location for a quiet night's sleep. The hotel and room were up to the average standards. Good check in and check out process. The breakfast had the expected items for a Choice Hotel chain. We were happy with the stay.
