Perfectly good classic old style hotel in a beautiful French seaside town. Excellent shower. Good breakfast with orange juice, fresh croissants, ham and cheese and fresh fruit. Loved the DIY, boiled egg machine! Only disappointment, cheap plastic cups in bedroom.

Nice and comfortable hotel with friendly staff in a great position. The only problem was the parking that it’s on street and in high season can be very inconvenient

Central location wirhin la rochelle close to beach and shopping centres. The property is quaint, historic and beautiful, the hotel works within the classic building without disturbing the classic architecture. The owner and all staff make an enormous difference to your stay being helpful, accomodating and welcoming. Breakfast is a good buffet variety in a clean and bright room. Good value and would stay again

The photos are somewhat misleading. It is rather tired. I have never stayed in a hotel where the toilet is just at the end of the bed or where they supply an aerosol of fly/mosquito spray. Even worse the fire alarm went off at 5.50 am because someone had had the audacity to use the spray!! Here’s a thought, don’t supply them. No apology given. It is over-priced for what it is. Easy parking though and Chatelaillon is lovely
