Please note: This property is in a quiet residential community and Folly Beach has a strict noise ordinance violation rule of 1 strike. Simply respect your neighbors, keep the noise down and no parties.

Welcome to Salty Shack (A)! This 2BR/1BA unit sleeps 4 and is one of three in a triplex. It is continently located across the street from the beach and boasts a private entrance and deck within walking distance to the heart of Folly Beach. It features hardwood floors throughout and smart tv's in both bedrooms.

Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island!

The Folly Beach noise ordinance is from 10 pm to 8 am.
Pets considered: All pets must be approved by our office before you arrive. Upon approval there is a $150 (plus tax) per pet nonrefundable pet fee that is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pet max, no more than 60 lbs. each, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees prior to arrival.
No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house.
House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited.
The occupancy can be at most 4 people at any time during your stay.
We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking.

This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowners business license.

Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable.

Salty Shack was perfect for us (three adult friends). We loved being across the street from the beach and a short walk to town. We enjoyed the food and cocktails at all the restaurants we visited. It was great to sit outside on the front porch with our coffee in the mornings, and even though it is on Arctic Ave, traffic was never a problem. The unit was clean, well-maintained, bright, and spacious. We all agreed we'd go back in a heartbeat.

The location of this unit is wonderful in proximity to the beach. Keep in mind that you are attached to another unit, so it is common to hear the people staying next door and everyone's noise level is different. The unit needs a deep cleaning and some updating. The unit lacked blankets which would have been nice since it was chilly for most of our stay. We had a few issues with other people parking in our designated space, but the management company tried to remedy the situation. In general, it was adequate for our stay.

The house basically across the street from the ocean which is so convenient. You cannot see the ocean because there is building blocking the view. The house was clean and love that they had some TP and paper towels which gave you time to buy more later if needed. My only complaints are the condition of the kitchen flooring. There are gaps in the flooring and I caught my toe in it a few times. Also the grout in the bathroom flooring is in desperate need of cleaning or replacing. We did enjoy our stay and really appreciated the quick response to our request of replacing the outside light.

We loved the location near the beach and downtown. It was great to walk the dogs on the beach before 10am and after 6pm. The Bark Park was a quick golf cart ride away. All we needed was easily available from cookware to pillows.
