The manager Carey and her staff are the best in Charleston. They always make you feel as though you are at your home away from home. I stay there at least 10 to 15 times a year for business and personal. My go to Inn in Charleston.

Breakfast was plenty for the start of the day. The complimentary tea, coffee, and variety of freshly baked cookies available throughout the day was a very nice touch and the cookies are super yummy. The “Happy Hour” was also nice with house wines, cheese, and crackers. The rooms are beautiful and quite large, especially by European standards, and has a very large bathroom. They feature a small kitchenette with microwave and fridge and a seating area (East Bay Studio). The property is well maintained and parking was a breeze (right in front of the hotel; in and out privileges for $20 per night; no gate, so easy access for late arrivals). It sits right on the edge of the historic district, so it’s peaceful and quiet, yet within easy walking distance to all the historic district sites (.4-1 km). There is a huge grocery store across the street that is open 24 hours a day. The A/C worked well, which I think would be necessary in the summer months. We would stay here again.

The paintings on the wall were unique and beautiful. We loved the old feel of the inn, but it was very clean as well.

We loved the cozy feeling of the hotel and room. The ambiance and character of the building was just what we needed on our trip to MUSC. Very quiet, great location, and superb night's sleep.

Atmosphere is charming, location is excellent . Staff was outstanding and provided great information on local restaurants and attractions.

The staff at the Inn were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast, afternoon wine and appetizers and drinks and snacks throughout the day were wonderful. We wish we would have used the rooftop terrace, but didn't have time. The Inn is within walking distance to many attractions in Charleston. We cannot wait to go back and will definitely stay here again.

The rooms were all unique. Great location. Walking distance to great restaurants, local attractions and shopping. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved it!

Very beautiful beams in interior of hotel. Great location. Wall paper colors and rugs can be a little lighter and modern in color.

The room was nice and spacious and centrally located.

The property was very nice .the staff where very friendly and accomadsting

Proximity to restaurants and shots is fantastic. Property is unique - I love the high ceilings and exposed beams.

The room was on a busy street with a lot of traffic. A lot of noise all night. Also, the mattress was old and soft.

Quiet, lovely and well located for walking and a guest parking lot.

Best inn in Charleston. Carey and staff are really great to work with. Love how quiet and clean the Inn is.

Beautiful hotel! The history and preserved architecture of the building is so awesome! I would not recommend Rm 209. I believe our room was directly over the front door on the first floor so there was a lot of noise and there was a trash compactor from the building across the street that would be activated and you could hear really well inside our room. Those two things are my only complaint and should not reflect the rest of the hotel rooms.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. Internet worked well. Continental breakfast was plentiful and filling. Within walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums and the waterfront.

Close to Market and shopping. Very nice inn, nice rooms, great breakfast and great staff. We’ll come back.
