We stayed in Corinna Mare for 4 nights in a side sea view room, 2 adults and 1 three and a half years old child. The room was very spacious with a cuisine and a nice balcony with side sea view. The pool area was wonderful and the location is also perfect. There is no beach only rocks but this creates a unique atmosphere when sitting in the pool area while listening to the waves crushing on the rocks. The personnel was friendly and the food in the restaurant was good. The only problem is parking. The hotel has some parking space in front but most of the times we have to park on the road (not so safe due to fast driving and buses passing by). In general we were happy with our stay there.

We have visited here for the past 3 years and have enjoyed for the most part. However this year we were a little disappointed. We chose a room with a sea view thought it would be something special. This was not the case, the room requires a complete overhaul especially for the price. The room itself is smaller than the partial view rooms which were lovely. The bathroom requires a major refurbishment. and to be honest the cleaning was of a very poor standard. We had Rosa as our cleaning lady for the previous 2 years and she was just excellent!!! This year I have to say even the glass shelf in the bathroom was not cleaned for over 2 weeks and we were staying for 18 days. Even the floors looked grubby. The staff at reception, Yannis in the bar and Yannis in the restaurant are first class. The food is beautiful and the complex itself is lovely. Katherina at reception is amazing and nothing is too much trouble. She looked after us so well after my accident earlier in the year. Therefore in conclusion the Management need to take a step up and bring the standards back up to the way they were in order to keep guests returning. This is in no way a criticism just facts that need to be addressed. John and Ursula

To be honest, We love sunsets and to sit at the bar with a cold drink on a warm evening and watch it happen is my idea of the end of a good day and the start of a good night. So it was Corinna Mare’s position on the coast which first attracted me and the relaxed appeal of Corrina Mare won our decision over some very nice places around the Chania harbour area. The pools are stunning and the sunbed area very comfortable although I got barked at by a pesky Chihuaha 😂 One downside is that access to the sea is not easy, the rocky unstable shoreline is uninviting and a little unsafe, but some people managed to get in and enjoy themselves. Staff are as helpful and friendly as can be, especially Katerina who arranged a taxi from the airport by email prior to our arrival. All the staff were full of local knowledge and helpful tips; they were great. Rooms are large, air-conditioned and have a small kitchenette area with a fridge and a seating area (sofa bed) plus table and chairs. There are wide beds and plenty of storage including a safe box at no extra cost. Cleaned well everyday and towels provided for the pool as well as the room. I’d recommend Corinna Mare and if I was returning to Crete I’d consider returning in a heartbeat. Breakfast was fab, best to arrive well before the closing time at 1100 as staff clear away quickly and are punctual about the end time. Anyone arriving may wish to catch the regular frequent public bus into town... buy your tickets from the shop over the road it saves you money as they discourage paying on the bus to reduce the cash drivers carry. In town get your tickets from the kiosk by the bus stop. Taxis are regulated, shouldn’t cost you more than €10 into town. Don’t confuse the local bus with the national (bendy) bus that runs along the same route your ticket will only be valid on the local one. Travelling further afield may mean using the national bus company and buying tickets from the bus station, which is around the corner from the bus stop in Chania... hint... if you don’t fancy a taxi the airport bus is €2.50 each and takes 35 mins. Take care in the bus station... lots of buses moving and people walking between. We took a trip to Elafonisi (pink sand) really enjoyed it only €20 from Tellus travel (various outlets) and had one stop on the way there to see caves and have coffee (not inc). Another on the way back for late lunch (not inc) at a taverna which was really enjoyable. We thought it was great value. Also visited Rethymno and Almydira by bus, both very nice and not expensive on national buses. We were pleased with our choice of accommodation and enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed for a week last week and were thrilled with what we found. In advance, the hotel had been very helpful by emaila nd upon arrival Katerina gave the fondest welcome which set the tone for the week. The complex is small with two nice pools and steps into the sea (bring beach shoes to get in). The wooden deck is no longer but there were ample sun beds and a totally chilled out environment. The restaurant and bar on site are very good and the views stunning. Great breakfasts too. There are several good restaurants just a short stroll away and Chania centre is 4km by bus or taxi (€10). Without seeming a snob, we are not used to three star but this place is a real find and we intend returning at the start of next season!

Stayed in a apartment, at the front of hotel with no noise issues. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and the back pool/restaurant has everything you need! Supermarket and car rental across the road, also bus stop just down the road to hania, ticket cost €1.70 single, which you purchase in the supermarket.

The hotel is located in the most beautiful part of the island. The bed was comfy, the food at the restaurant was great! We liked the upper floor room more than the ground floor (we changed rooms but that was the deal, we accepted it just so we can stay at the hotel). The hotel has an amazing garden ❤️ and two big enough pools. We were amazed by the lovely staff from the Hotel! (Cheers for Katerina and George) We left in a rush and forgot some of our clothes in the closet and contacted the hotel to try and send them over to Romania by postal services. They did not hesitate one second and immediately sent them. Also, when we asked the reception for any kind of advice, they did everything they could and more! Would recommend it to anyone, couples, families or friends! If you are a cat person you are in for a treat! Well behaved cats!

I will start with the restaurant. One of my favorite dinners in Greece was here, I had the sea bass and it couldn’t have been more perfect. My friend had another local fish that was great. The accommodations were okay...The room was nice, but the shower wasn’t my favorite (so small and no joke, the water went from normal to scalding hot) Loved the pools & there’s a small rocky beach you can grab a chair & lay out. The ocean wasn’t exactly swimmable, but there were some people out there. The pool staff were nice & friendly. This hotel is about a 20min bus ride into downtown Chania. If you want to get off the beaten path a little, it’s a great little place. Nothing overly fancy (except the dinner - was exceptional). I think it was worth what I paid.

Wow! I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It has taken me too long to write this review but better late than never! Our stay was nothing like a 3 star experience. It was a perfect 5 star stay. Our room was spacious and had a small living area with kitchenette and couch. Bed was huge and very comfortable. The fitness room was small but had everything you need for a good workout and was air conditioned. The property was stunning and well maintained - so many flowers and greenery. Two pools, one general pool and a deeper infinity pool overlooking the ocean. There were kids and families around but it was a very chill vibe and quiet around the pool area. The view was fantastic over the ocean with stunning sunsets every night. Great cocktails from the bar, sun loungers and umbrellas always available. We had breakfast at the buffet every day - it was so beautiful and fresh. We also ate at the restaurant each night the food was fantastic and great value. Yannis at reception was very helpful, even making a call to our next hotel for us to ensure all details for our gorge hike were correct. Parking available out the front of the hotel and there was a convienence store directly across the road. Top stay. Thank you!

corinna mare is a exellent hotel the staff were lovely, very helpful, and nothing was to much trouble. the food was exellent, the pools was very clean the views was amazing. the rooms were brilliant. location great. couldent falt it. roy juliet & dawn

Was here on an overnight stay and was not impressed with the hotel. As listed in other reviews, there were quite a few rules they asked for you to follow on top of lack of availability to the infinity pool or the beach. In order to get in the ocean, you had to go down a questionable ladder that looked attached to rocks in the water. Area didn’t look very safe and you had a very good chance of running into rock if you were not a great swimmer. Photos for this hotel didn’t really match what was listed on their website and felt very disappointed. Communication was also a problem whether in person or email. Would not go back if I had the option to.
