One of the greatest hotels I’ve experienced! The location, the views! Love the noon checkout. The breakfast was amazing especially the crepes :)
The Alpina is located in the best spot of Chamonix. Short stoll to all restaurant and shopping areas, and next to all buses to the different ski slopes. For those who will visit Chamonix for the first time, if you chose ski-in/ski-out, you will be totally isolated to everything but the ski area you are staying at. The Alpina is newly renovated, extremely clean with an upbeat vibe. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a ski shop and ski lockers in the building which is a really plus. The restaurant is great for breakfast and priced fairly. There’s also a public underground parking lot 50 yards from the front door. I would highly recommend the Alpina for anyone visiting Chamonix. Hotel MONT BLANC is stuffy and overpriced. The Alpina is the place to be.
Just be sure not to get a room on the first or second floor, there is a club close by with music til 4am. The relocated us onto the sixth floor which was great. Great location from the village - great staff and the rooms were very clean and spacious.
There is a local bus stop right outside that will take you local mountains. The downtown party seen and restaurants is right there. If you are there to ski and you are going to bed early on the weekend, don't get mountain view. All of the drinks who are partying a very loud getting off the bus and walking home. Other then that, good value. They also have a convenient and free ski storage room.
