The hotel is quiet, the bed is confortable, the location is close to my company and close to restaurants. Everytime i go to Cergy, I go to Campanile because there is no noise around the hotel, it is very important for me.
Standard budget hotel +ves ------- Good room heater. Decent breakfast Clean rooms Good soap dispensor is room Good Staff -ve ---- Expensive Very small rooms ( or shall i say cabinets) No lift. Although only 1 floor but it can be tough to carry heavy luggage of 30KG upstairs. I had 2 suitcases of each 30KG and I had to take it up the spirla staircase which can be tough. Since they didnt have lift they should offer help another -ve I had was i lost one plastic container in room since it seems the staff threw it. It was a microwave proof food container.
This was our last stop cycling Avenue Verte before Paris. We have used Campaniles before and they are usually good VFM and do exactly what it says on the tin. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet was good quality with lots of choice. The restaurant and bar area was relaxing and child-friendly.
The hotel is much fresher since the refurbishment and are pleasant enough to stay for a few nights. Always clean and have all that you need i.e. clean facilities, body wash and hairdryer, desk, TV & good wifi. The restaurant meals are basic but good and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Seen that it was a business trip the location was chosen in function of that. Personnel was very friendly and assistant. Rooms were clean and convenient. Nice breakfast and diner was price worthy. If I have to be in the neighborhood for business again I will not hesitate to come back here
This hotel is convenient to my workplace and has the facilities I need for a work trip. Wifi available, clean room with a bench style desk, great water pressure in shower and reasonable food. This isn't a luxury hotel but you have everything you need and expect for the price. The staff were helpful although the days I was there the reception person spoke no English so it wasn't so easy for my colleagues who spoke no French.
To start, there's nothing WRONG or horrendously bad, it's just a standard 2 star place. Set out like a Motel, you've got individual rooms. There's no great locking system of confidence- you lock the door from the inside but it auto unlocks once pushing down the handle so can't check the safety from outside. Bed is clean, firm mattress. No plugs near the bed, but only over by the window. Bathroom was clean, basic with hand soap and a shampoo/shower gel dispenser. Towels are grey and rough, due to age so could do with replacing. No lock on bathroom door. Wifi works well. Kettle and tea/coffee facilities as well as a TV. Heating system worked: very loud even on lowest setting as the fan clicks off and on- woke several times due to this. Walls (the build) is rather thin so can hear conversations/televisions/showers from surrounding rooms. Breakfast was disappointing. Went an hour after it started (7:30) and they had already run out of yoghurt and nearly fruit, with only the basic baguette breads and cereal left. Other than disappointing breakfast, no big complaints or issues. It's basic and suffice for one night. Possibly needs a renovation or updating but all in all, it's fine.
Well, definitely a step up from a dormitory, but still rather basic (think of Travelodge UK just furnished in the 1950s). It's a bed and there's a bathroom - if that suffices, it's a deal. Don't expect more. Even the internet sockets are 20 years od - a paradise for nostalgic IT nerds. WiFi works well
I have stayed there 2 times, being on a business trip, as all other hotels in the neighbourhood were booked. Average Campanil hotel, the rooms are quite outdated and grey towels that used to be white one day... Better to avoid if you have another option to stay.
I visit family members every year in Cergy and stay usually in Novotel or Ibis, this time I looked to stay somewhere else and booked my room just buy looking at the pictured provided by the hotel and booking sites. I was very disappointed as soon as I entered the room, a very average 2 star hotel in an industrial area, used and not updated for a long time, tried to charge my phone, but could not find a power point inside the room even under the desk, so was forced to use the one in bathroom above the toilet sit, the heating system did not work and when I asked the desk for an extra blanket did not get one, everything was bare minimum. the only positive was driving in and out of the property into a nice road with a lot of trees full of colors specially in October. Ahhh ... there is a free Wifi but it is a very slow one,
