This is not a fancy hotel, but convenient, especially to the university, and the staff were kind and very helpful. The hotel bar was handy and breakfast was fine. It may not look like much from the outside, but the hotel serves its customers well.
This trip will be legendary for us. We ate the most incredible food, saw just a tiny part of Greece but a place crammed with history. Every moment had some cool thing. We rode a ferry to gorgeous beaches and had a romantic lunch in a shady garden directly on the beach.fresh sardine are sublime, especially when followed with Greek yogurt with honey and nuts. Alexander the Greats statue on the waterfront is just the beginning. We rode a open top double decker bus to see the whole city and then walked everywhere There was a sundown ritual at the waterfront with food vendors dog walkers skaters couples many gather near the White tower a landmark for the town filled with history You can use an audio device for free as you take the self tour. Go there you’ll love it
My room has a balcony with a view of the old town or upper town Thessaloniki, which I love it. My room is OK size, not too big or too small, clean and has a free wifi. The shower is small. The breakfast is quite OK, and the staff both in the restaurant and in receptionist are nice. The elevator is perhaps enough for very few people (2-4). It is near to Thessaloniki's points of interests, cafee, and restaurants.
Excellent hotel. Clean good size rooms. Great location. Fantastic breakfast with a huge buffet including cooked English, continental, and Greek local delicacies. I've stayed in Thessaloniki many times and this is by far my favourite hotel.
Hotel is located very central position. We had just one night stay there, but, the impression was very positive for us. The major missing topic was the lack of the car park belonging to the hotel. But, there is car park just 150m down of related hotel and it's 15 € per day.
-locality, vicinity -reasonable room prices -retro style rooms -gentle, helpful staff -rich breakfast buffet -interior room decoration -cheap crt 14" tv -no soundproof windows and walls -uncomfortable matress and pillows
The hotel is very close to the city center and to the sea (5 min walk from the White Tower). Some rooms have a stunning view over the Eptapyrgio Fortress and the Trigoniou Tower, which increases a lot the value of the hotel. However, rooms are small, out-dated and pretty ugly. The staff at the reception is not very "friendly" and not very inclined to talk. Breakfasts offer a good selection of salty food, but sweet food options are quite limited. I am not sure I will come back again.
I booked a room at the ABC last minute. From the first moment, the staff was generous and considerate. They allowed me to enter the room in the morning rather than at check in time. This approach continued to characterize staff behavior which was invariably welcoming and generous. I found the room comfortable and the breakfast, though not fancy, was very good and the staff ready to accommodate wishes such as hot milk for coffee! I liked the hotel so much, that I returned there my last day in Thessaloniki for breakfast.
Very acceptable hotel for a short stay, in our case one night. 10 minutes walk from the bus that takes you to the airport and right on the main street which means it's noisy if you open the window but perfectly fine for us. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was enjoyable. Not sure why people would complain at this price. The Wi-Fi was free and the shower was hot. We would stay again. Yes it is a little tatty around the edges but have sympathy for a country that is unsteady on its feet after the crisis.
The hotel is next top the exhibition center, so if you are there for visiting or exhibitin, you are in the right place. The check in is very fast, you will have to use the elevators for the up floors, on of teh elevators is extremely small, just for two, and it will not be easy for you to breath in there, so take the other one. The breakfast is not very reach, and they do not allow you to take your coffe in a plastic cup, you have to pay for it. If you open the terrasse door, it will be very noisy, but the hotel is on a main street, so nothing wrong. The free internet is ok. The building itself is very old, and need some repairs, the bathroom was so small that i crushed my head several times, but is acceptable.
