Hotel is in a perfect location, close to everything you need downtown.

In town due to a death in the family. Booked my room late needing a good night's rest. Checked in late. Arrived in room that smelled terribly of smoke. Assumed I had mistakenly been given a smoking room. Too late & too tired to complain that evening. Next morning at checkout I made the front desk staff aware of the condition of my room. They responded that they don't have any smoking rooms and they would let the maid service aware. Hmmm... underwhelming customer care :(

The hotel was comfortable with a decent restaurant/bar that has great service. There is a pool but no hot tub. The exercise facility was well equipped. Hotel staff was very helpful with parking vouchers.

Very nice hotel, bed comfortable, clean. Staff pleasant and very nice.

Very friendly staff! Great place to relax and have a drink while looking over the city!

We booked late for the game visiting our daughter at school and couldnt find a room in Iowa City. Cedar Rapids was our second choice, and Doubletree hit the mark! The hotel was convenient off the highway and had a great stay - parking was easy across the street and the room was awesome - comfortable beds and nice, clean space. Thanks!

We booked this hotel as we went to a concert located at the hotel. It was really nice to just go back to the room after the concert and not have to deal with the traffic. There are so many good places to eat and drink at within walking distance.

This is a very nice hotel. Rooms are clean and modern. Hotel bar is upscale. Restaurant food is quite good. Pool area is indoors and also very nice. Overall, I'll give it a 4 out of 5. My only issues are that the DIY parking areas are a bit inconvenient (skywalks/elevators, etc) - not fun when you have your hands full. Also, for some reason during my last stay, the housemaid repeatedly knocked on my door both mornings, even though the Do Not Disturb sign was on the door.

Nice hotel and room, bathroom on the smaller side. Downtown location.

Hotel was perfect location with many places to walk to nearby. Very clean and comfortable. The only problem was it was hard to find parking as there was an event going on at the US Cellular Center. This was my second stay and both were great! Have another event coming up and will definitely be booking here again!! Highly Recommend!!

Hotel and staff were great. Awesome distance to dining and entertainment. Great value.

This is just an awful awful location for a hotel. The train running through downtown will wake you up at midnight and 4am.

Convenient, cheap parking in the ramp across the street. Nice hotel, comfortable rooms... beware the $$$ cocktails at the bar upstairs.

And that is literally true. But even so, a nice hotel, all renovated and new. The room was large and quite comfortable. Quiet, too. Nits: You have to pay to park at either the adjacent city ramp, or the one across the street; $.75 per hour at the ramp or $12 per night through the hotel. Do it by the hour if you're going to out and about during the day. Also, you have to pay for internet.

This was my third stay at this hotel. The staff is always on top of my needs and the rooms are always clean. Being in downtown you are with walking distance of restaurants and bars. Very convenient for any travelers looking for a nice place off I380.

This hotel is located in downtown Cedar Rapids. Pleasant staff, nice, clean hotel. Very roomy, but no fridge. Room service for food, but no restaurant or even small walk-in café. A bit of a challenge with the streets and getting to the front of the hotel for check-in, but not horrible. Would have been worse if traffic was bad or there was an event at the attached Civic Center. We would definitely stay here again if the room price was a great deal! Looking for booklet/pamphlet on other interesting stuff to do, restaurants, bars, nightlife or fun and they didn't have anything like that in the room.

This hotel sits right on the downtown pedestrian mall - the best feature of Iowa City. Right outside the door there is a fountain and playscape, the wonderful Iowa City public library, and many restaurants, bars and shops. There is a parking garage conveniently located near the street entrance. All in all, it was a very easy, convenient experience. The rooms are comfortable and clean, although a little bit small. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We were disappointed that they no longer have the whirlpool in the pool area, due to city regulations.

the DoubleTree was fine - it's recently been redecorated, and it was very clean. Everyone was very helpful and polite. The HVAC system was incredibly loud in our room - you couldn't hear the television unless the volume was turned very high. There was a Tornado Warning (Welcome to Iowa), and the hotel was efficiently evacuated by smiling, helpful and efficient staff. The restaurant was excellent. It's a good hotel, it was just too expensive.

From the moment I called from the airport to the time I checked out it was great. Staff was on point with how they treated their guests. Room was clean and well appointed, great value. Great Experience...
