I have stayed here in july two years running, and it was fine, fairly clean, decent price, the chlorine smell from the pool was a bit overwhelming due to it being enclosed, but over all a good experience.
We stayed here last night and it was gross. The lobby/breakfast room smelled SO intensely of rotting garbage i could taste it. It permiated the elevator, and even on the THIRD floor on the opposite side of the hotel the REEK of garbage followed us. It legitimately almost made me leave and sleep in the car. The front desk said they would "let house keeping know". Admittedly, i have a sensitive sense of smell, but this was truely excessive, and, esspecially in the food service area, unacceptable.
The bathtub had a considerable mold problem, there were greasy hand prints on the ceiling in the bathroom, a large sticky forehead shaped mark in the middle of the TV, the fridge smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, and the kicker, bugs.
Not bedbugs, stink beetles, they're harmless, and invasive, so i understand, but there were 3 in bed with me when i woke up and i will NOT being going back.
Litterally two months ago this hotel was fine, i dont know what happened, but i am deeply disappointed.
