Location is good. Hotel common areas are nice, i.e., lobby, bars, restaurants. Rooms are dated and not clean. Booked a suite and it was filthy. Cushions were tattered, curtains were sagging, carpet was dirty with lots of cigarette burns. And to boot - the room reeked of cigarette smoke. The walls in the bedroom were stained with greasy hand prints all over. No comment..... Hotel staff - lip service......
Overall: Mediocre experience. Property is not a Hyatt Regency and should be rebranded as just a Hyatt. Probably wouldn't stay there again. Pros: Impeccable location in the heart of the city. Close to absolutely everything. Lobby is very inviting. Lobby bar/restaurant was excellent (burger is tops). Moroccan restaurant was also very good. Rooms are laid out very nicely and are really comfortable. Cons: The street noise is incredible. The windows are not double pane or noise proof. The entire hotel needs renovation/updating. Hotel staff wasn't very friendly and not at all what I would expect from a Hyatt.
I stayed here 4nights with a friend after my 10day morocco tour with a group of 11 people. The hotels and riads I stayed during my tour are all charmingly decorated in Moroccan tradition but lacking the standard service I accustomed with a high end hotel. I was expecting to have a comfort stay in Hyatt Regency didn't actually expecting anything Luxury. I am a long time Hyatt member, honestly I would never pick Regency if there is Grand or Park available. And I wanted a city center location so Four Season was out. I was surprised by how beautiful the lobby is and how professional and courteous the staff are, the bell man the security, the front desk. Every of my request was handled efficiently: money exchange, taxi, local attractions, direction to restaurant etc. The security are very experienced at the front door. They know exactly who needs to be checked. What I mean is check every one who passing the door thoroughly is unfeasible and stupid. The ability to identify the high risk individual is a must. I definitely feel save in the hotel. Obviously dressed as a foreign female tourist they checked my bags once on my arrival. The rest time they always greet me and let me pass. The Moroccan restaurant in the hotel is a must try. The price looks moderate on the menu. But I just ordered One starter-a mix of local salad comes out in 5-6 dishes-One entree of beef, again comes with side dishes. It was more than enough for 2. And everything is delicious. So it turns out like half price. I had a glass wine with it. The bill was still really cheap. There was also a band and a female singer playing the local tone in the restaurant. Service was very good.Totally enjoyed it. The location of the hotel is great. we just walked to all the places or take a short taxi ride. Yes it is probably more noisy than the hotels at the out skirt of the city since it was surrounded by the busy streets. But that doesn't bother me at all because things just calm down late in the evening. the only sound that deprived me a good night sleep is the loud speakers all over the city at the dawn-5:30ish everyday. The morning prayer. It is out hotel's control. It was the same in very city I visited small or big. I never had a good night sleep in Morocco beside 2days in dessert camp. There was no speakers there.Thank god. The rooms are good size. and very clean. but the bath room are on the small side. There is no place to hang or place any cloth inside beside on the edge of the bath tub. the design is kind strange but no big deal. The only complaint I have is the see thru, clear glass door in the bath/shower room. I really don't see why it is not Non-transparent. It might be OK if i am with a close family member. But I was with a friend. Both of us girls felt a little awkward. Anyhow, this is the best Regency lever hotel i ever stayed. They really went above and beyond. There is definitely a touch of luxury in their service at a very reasonable price.
We stayed here for a few days before and after a tour of Morocco. The location is excellent, right next to the Medina, business center and trams. The hotel was well kept, had great food, and the rooms were comfortable, although as we found throughout Morocco, the toilet room was separated from the rest of the bathroom. The restaurants and bar were great and the service was outstanding from the bellmen to front desk and concierge. We wanted to take the tram to La Corniche and the concierge had a bellman walk us out, buy the tickets and put us on the right one. Another time we wanted to go to Habbous and again the concierge had a bellman walk us out to haggle with taxis and private drivers to get us there.
Good hotel but they gotta do like a discount when they close the pool! Any compensation will be appreciated Their food is the weakest point, it’s just a food with average tasting Clean renovated rooms and a very good gym with a big access to an outdoor area
The hotel is well located in the centre of Casablanca. I try to stop here now as the hotel has a very good atmosphere and staff have a excellent manner. Used the Club Lounge service very good in the evening and morning . Ilsane provided excellent service and organisation in the morning and the evening staff were very helpful and professional. Whilst I rate this as an excellent business hotel I would always look to stay here irrespective of whatever my reason for being is Casablanca is.
The best thing in this hotel is the smiling friendly staff and service providers. Other than that....average. Slow service, room key has to be changed several times during the stay. Clock at room haven’t changed to the new timing. Poor TV screen. Poor room carpets. Reception and concierge are great!
Great hotel in every regard, from the beautiful and modern decor to the caring and accommodating staff. It has a great location, has high level of security, and plenty of amenities (several restaurants, a lounge, bars, pool, etc). Hyatt continues to impress making it more and more my preferred hotel! Will stay here again when I return to Casablanca.
Big clean rooms and spacious bathrooms. Staff was friendly and helpful in every way. Be sure to get a room that includes access to VIP bar/Restaurant on the 8th floor. Also request a room not facing the loud main plaza in front.
Location: Downtown in Casablanca. A better location hotel might be by the ocean Hotel: Well maintained lobby and average room. Similar in character to a Hilton US style room, basic but functional. Room and bathroom were very clean and well maintained but nothing special or memorable. Summary: An average room but nice hotel central. A solid 3 1/2* hotel.
