I stayed at both the Sofitel and Hyatt Regency. Hands down, Hyatt Regency is a much more elegant and newly renovated hotel. We actually randomly met the GM at Marrakech who convinced us to try out the Hyatt over staying at the Sofitel again. Excellent experience, there was even some last minute confusion over the billing and he quickly corrected it, no problem at all. Will definitely stay here again.
Team at Hyatt Regecny Casablanca were very responsive and went out of the way to ensure our comfort. The upgrade to a suite signifies their recognition of understanding their reguler customers like me. Also extra efforts to cater to our vegetarian food requirements need appreciation. Overall it was an awesome stay
The service at this hotel was outstanding while I was here, however it certainly is on the older side. Looks like updates are being made, but overall a great stay in Casablanca! Would highly recommend.
I've been a long time Hyatt guy and have stayed at well over one hundred properties. Casablanca is hands down the friendliest. The staff are simply the nicest I've come across. From check-in desk to the manager and all in between, my wife and I were made to feel special. The concierge was very helpful with dinner as well as a tour of Hassan II Mosque (a must see). Our room was Swiss-clean, well appointed and spacious. Unfortunately, we only stayed a day. Next time. .. much longer.
The property is average compared with same brand other hotels. I am on a business trip and monthly I will stay at least 3/4 times in 5 star hotels. So I do have a good reference , if I may say so. Cleaning, front desk and various service staff are all very friendly , however I do believe that the management is very stingy and tries to make a buck out of every occasion. It goes to such an extend that this is in particular visible in the behavior of the security staff, if you take drinks with you from outside the hotel in a bag ,they will tell you that this is not allowed and take your drink away, however since there is no legal basis for diss proprieting ,they return it to you after you complain to the front desk. I do not blame the personnel, but this IS clearly instructed by the management. See the previous review complaining regarding the minibar etc.etc. 13-09-17 and sadly still going to be here for another 3 days! It's all about the sales I guess.
One big plus was that the receptionists here are undeniably beautiful. But.... On arrived no one was available to help me with my heavy bag.... the mini bar was shown to me and then not reloaded as promised until I phoned down. Then the door jammed in the morning. Finally (well I have not left yet) my coffee wasnt repleneshed. Such a shame.
The concierge is what made this stay special. They made sure that our rooms were up to par. They helped my friends get some new clothes as their bags got lost. The best example of their service can be summed up by this. We had left an item at the hotel, and they offered to drop it off all the way in Marrakech. Unbelievable for a $ 10 item, especially since it was unsolicited. The rooms were nice with great views of the Hassan mosque. The regency club is spacious, with a nice evening cocktail hour with champagne. Security is always present. Their front desk staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely demonstrated the experience that should be present at all Hyatts.
Most friendly and helpful staff ever, so lovely and great first impression of hotel. Couldn't have been more helpful, giving me directions and making arrangements so I can attend my first meetings. If nothing else had gone right the hotel manager Mr. Geroges and his staff ensured I would have left with a good impression. Fortunately everything about the hotel was exceptional, and I don't give praise lightly. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in the regency club where I had breakfast every morning and the bar restaurant . Food was beyond good and great value for money and service in both places attentive and efficient. My room was well equipped and comfortable. I could go on but suffice it to say I was impressed and very pleased with my stay, I hope to be back for a visit in the future.
I have been visiting the Hyatt Casablanca for nearly 10 years for business purposes. And probably spent around 30 to 40 nights overall there. This is still up to now the best 5 star option in Casablanca. The location is good (Not far from the Train Station) and to the key Casablanca centric locations. The area is noisy, but so is Casablanca, Hotel is doing its outmost to bring it down with soundproofing, but you do get awaken at night by Taximen fighting at the exit of Hotel Night Club or due to random night annoyances. All restaurants are outstanding. Breakfast is great (but expensive). Service is good and staff is always very supportive. Front Desk, PR Manager, Concierge. There is an ATM within the Hotel (which for some reason sometimes does not accept local Credit Cards).
My wife, daughter and I stayed at the Casablanca Hyatt Regency hotel for 3 nights in August. Excellent hotel; perfect location at a stone's throw from the Old Medina. Our daughter enjoyed the swimming pool in the Moroccan heat.
