This hotel was part of my group tour with monarch travel. So far the choice of hotels have been below standard with bait and switch when we got to Casablanca. The “restaurant” that’s included right right next to the reception area is the dirtiest restaurant imaginable... they do not wash used utensils they wipe them and hand them to you right in front of you. They do not change dirty linens and when you point that out they say “no english” and walk away. The room luckily was okay and location good but because of the vast unhygienic situation I cannot give them a good review.
Located near Casablanca main station, it has great location for tourists who would like to travel nationwide by public transport. Also there were some supermarkets nearby for tourists to buy some necessities and local souvenirs. However this hotel, honestly speaking, had so much to get improved and could not be ranked as a 5 star hotel, as the air condition in my room didn't work and nobody fixed it after I complained with the concierge about this problem. The cleanness of this hotel was another point concerned me a lot, where there was a big fly staying inside my room and also I saw a big spider just hanging from the ceiling in their restaurant. The signal of their in-room WiFi was also so weak that I almost relied on my Orange 4G network to surf Internet. With the same budget, I will stay in other 5 star hotel next time I visit Casablanca.
This hotel was part of our tour, I read the reviews and was horrified of what I might find. When you walk into the lobby it’s nice and I’m like ok this is only for 1 night. After we were shown to our room it smelled of smoke, the next room so I thought was better. My husband and I showered, keep in mind the towels are old and worn. We left for dinner, when we returned and getting ready for bed I kept smelling something. I took all the pillows off the bed smelled the sheets; I still couldn’t find the smell. I looked at the headboard and it was moldy. You can see where they tried to clean it, I called the front desk and was moved to better room. The higher floors have cleaner carpet and look better. The restaurants and the entire hotel need to pull all the carpet up, because it is filthy. The Buffett was average, flies all over the place. I will never utilize this hotel again.
Very poor hotel to go for a vacation, poor internet connection, very poor restaurant, the gym is not working months ago, the executive lounge is closed for no reason, and the receptionist are very rude and impolite people ( specially a guy called Ghali Mohamed). If u have a vacation at Casablanca don’t go there it’s a fake 5 stars place and u will hate.
well... I have been reading reviews for this hotel before I travel to Morocco, unfortunately there were no availability but here, so I was kind of obliged to stay, but I was afraid of negative reviews and here's the thing.... MOST OF THEM ARE NOT TRUE! Let's go one by one on which I have read: 1-rooms : some people that rooms dirty... I came with a group of 20 people for a football match and we stayed in 14 rooms...we all agreed that rooms were very clean and neat 2-staff...: the front desk was very helpful to guide me to all transportation and attractions around My safe box was not working when I checked in, I called the front desk and it was changed in 5 minutes. Room was made and tide up daily at 10 am not at 8 as some people said with a super friendly staff 3-wifi coverage : non of us complained and it is covered in all places... we stayed at 7th and 8th floor... at the lobby... restaurant... pool... perfectly covered. 4-building is old... kind of... but are you planning to live here!!!!! you can say building is 10 years old, but when was that a disadvantage of travellers... if you visited Egypt... some buildings are 100 years old and its perfectly operating... tourists really seeks this 5-place...very central... very close to everything in the city 6-Food: all varieties are available and staff are very friendly when I asked them off a special omelette the cheff made it to me and came to me with a wide smile. 7-Mold smell: I travelled to 20+ countries all over the world... I will ask any person who used to travel to confirm this : If you kept a central AC working in a 25 mtr square room for the whole night then turned it off afterwards then kept the window closed then... how would you except your room will smell?? well... yes.. MOLD is the answer... and guess what... room service sprayed the room for me when I just asked them to do. This place is a very special amazing place with everything in it... I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again
The structure is quite nice but the interiors are old and the carpets smell of smoke. the personel at the breakfast has been nice but the ones on the front desk, very very unpleasant. breakfast ok, location ok,
I’m not sure why anyone thought this was a 5 star hotel. It is old, needs renovations and smells of mold. I guess you get what you pay for. Location is not real far from the water. Staff could be a little friendlier
It's a nice place , clean , comfortable . It's have a beautiful scenery in reception , restaurants and lighting systems. Good stuff in reception and room service but in restaurants them are moodiness. This place have a nice pool and fitness. Finally thanks to management and stuff .
I arrived to this hotel with my family on September 3, 2017. It was recommended to me by a colleague for the initial period while I look for a permanent apartment since I am relocating to the city. I found the hotel location as nice but not close to most of the things that I need. The staff could be described as efficient but in impersonal manner showing little or no warmth or friendliness. The room were actually quite small. I took two rooms for the family. Though the rooms were adjacent to each other, one of them did not show any signal for the Internet while the other was had poor and intermittent connection. The mini-bar was empty. There was not complimentary water and no tea or coffee making equipment, which was surprising for a hotel describing itself as 5 stars hotel. The bathroom was significantly small and it was hard even for a mid-sized body like myself to fit in it conveniently. The food was average and little expensive. The Restaurants could benefit from little tidiness. It was annoying for my family to have be bothered by several small flying insects in the French restaurant, though the overall atmosphere and both the management and waiters there were quite friendly and seem to be highly trained. All in all, given the rate of this hotel and the level of services and size of the rooms, I may not consider staying in this hotel again.
Good location. Staff very friendly. Room in 10th floor very large with view on port and city center. Break fast could be better. Lunch was excellent (fresh fish) with local way. I recommend assuming that choice
