Pros: - We didn't have any problems with our room. It seemed to be pretty clean. - Breakfast was pretty typical and simple, with a few hot items like eggs and sausage, and also cereal, bagels, waffles, etc. Cons: - We arrived after dark and the outside walkways have some pretty large spiders that have taken over. I understand that the property backs up to some woods, but they need to spray or deal with this issue, as I almost couldn't get to our room because of the gigantic spider web spanning across the entire walkway. - The hotel backs up to train tracks - very loud, but it didn't wake us up at night. - I went out for a morning walk around the property and noticed a maintenance man walking around with paint and tools. A few minutes after I got back to my room and was laying on the bed with my son, the guy used his key card, opened the door, looked, then walked back out. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was an accident, but that was extremely unnerving. If an accident, I'm not sure why he didn't verify with the office that the room was unoccupied.
The rooms are not clean and the staff lied about the price for the AARP rate! I would not stay again! The breakfast area was cover in ants, so all the food was not eatable. There was a washed and dryer but the entire area was cover in mosquitoes! They obviously need bug spray!
When we checked in the lady (I think she was the manager/owner) was polite. In one of our rooms the refrigerator wasn't working. She immediately got it replaced with one that worked. We also had an issue with the door on the other room. It would open without a key card. Again, fixed immediately. Rooms were both clean and smelled nice. Parking lot is very bumpy and has huge holes. Go slowly in order to not damage your car. A/C's in both rooms kept shutting off. Rooms were hot at times. Another issue we had (which I've never had at any other Choice hotel) was: we wanted to play cards in the lobby one evening during our stay (We stayed 3 nights, 2 rooms). We went to the lobby (youngest person in our party was 15 and there were five of us) we asked if we could use the tables and chairs to play cards. We even brought our own drinks, snacks etc. The lady at the front desk said she would have to call and ask if she was allowed to let us. She said she was allowed but only for two hours (until 9:00pm). I was furious! (I'm a gold member and can't even use their lobby?) Will not be back to this particular establishment.
I will not even waste time writing a long review. Just know that we stopped here for an overnight on a road trip, and it's the dirtiest nastiest place I've ever been. It is run down, smells terrible, and I would've been better off sleeping in a dumpster
the beds and sheets were clean and comfortable.really liked the bathrooms and the overall room quality. I enjoyed the sleep that i needed and i will let my other family members know of the good service and i will be back again. thanks
The rooms all have outside entrances, and you need to walk up a couple flights of stairs to get to the second floor. Our room was clean but could use updates. It did have a fridge and micro. Not what I'd except for a Quality Inn. On a positive note the lady at the front desk at check in was very nice. Also, the lady that handled the breakfast area in the morning was very nice. Breakfast was bread, pastry, cereal, juice. Also, sausage and egg patties.
This property is very horrible. When arrived last night I was charged twice for a room. I was charged for a room for last night which I did stay and then I was being charged for a room in April for which I won't be here. Went to the front desk to have them issue a credit back to my card for the other night that I won't be here. The front desk lady by the name of Priti Patel refused to do so and then started yelling at me as well. So being that I used a travel agent for the time in April and the reservation was canceled with them that the hotel just needed to refund the charge to my card. When the travel agent called the hotel the lady at the front desk gave a false name to the travel agent by the name of Tina Smith which does not work there at all. So I will never ever stay here again at all and when asking for a choice property corporate office number they refuse to give that as well and refused to give me a business card for the GM as well for the property. I definitely think twice about staying here. They certainly do not represent the choice logo very well at all.
First I saw a billboard that said room $55. Then when I called, lady on the phone said I can give you that rate with a coupon from the books at the travel plazas. So at 1am sun morning after stopping at 4 different places I finally got the coupon, showed up, and the lady there tells me oh no, I have to charge you weekend rate!! Never again! As far as I'm concerned that's poor management and close enough to false advertisement.
From first viewing, the property looked nice. However, the parking lot and entrance to our room looked like a huge ashtray--cigarette butts and trash everywhere. Our room seemed clean but there was a used towel hanging on the back of the shower door. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and once the people above us (who must have been dancing in their golf shoes) quieted down, we got a good night's sleep. We stay in a lot of Choice Hotels (Gold Member since 2004) and this was not one of their best properties. Needs help!
The room was very clean. Television did not work. Found out the receptacle for television was dead. A/C unit was very annoying. The a/c was programmed to turn the fan on/off with the compressor which woke me every time it cycled on and off. While off I would be awaken again from a nearby railroad/train and vehicular traffic. I don't expect much from continental breakfasts but it was not up to par with the many other Choice Hotels I've stayed in.
