Stayed here with a group. Requested a room at the back and that is what we got so no noise at night whatsoever. Room was perfect with comfortable beds and fitted bathroom with shower over the bath. We ate in the bar the first night and it was very tasty. Some of our group went uptown but we were happy to stay in the hotel as the weather was very cold. Second night we had our meal as a group and again couldn't fault it at all. We enjoyed the entertainment in the bar and we went off to bed happy. Hotel is in a very good location in the town and is within walking distance of the shops, cafes, restaurants and bars as we walked into town several times over the weekend and there is no need to move your car. Staff were friendly and approachable. I would stay in this hotel again if I got the chance to.
We attended a wedding at a different venue to the Seven Oaks Hotel in Carlow. The rooms were comfortable and the beds even more so. After a great night sleep we had a perfect breakfast. We would definitely consider booking at the Seven Oaks again. The advised taxi service to take use to another venue was excellent and the return journey after 1.00 am cost us no more. Very pleased
The Seven Oaks hotel is amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. My friend and I stayed for 1 night we went down for a concert. The food is amazing. Very reasonably priced as were the drinks. The hotel room was beautiful. Plenty of space the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was lovely too with plenty to choose from. Definatlely worth a visit while in Carlow.
Lovely hotel for an overnight stay (although the price of accommodation is a little on the expensive side!) Hotel is very warm and inviting and all staff are very nice and friendly. Really nice bar which serves lovely food and opens quite late!! Breakfast was great but finishes a little too early for a Sunday morning at 10.00 am. The room was very comfy and warm and had everything that you could need. We did not get to use the leisure facilities but we will on our next visit because we certainly plan to return to this Hotel.
We spent a night in this hotel, and had dinner there. The food was excellent; well prepared and presented, servings were generous, temperature correct. Staff were welcoming and very helpful: from the initial contact to book, right through to checkout, it seemed that no trouble was too much for them to go to to ensure everything was right for us. After checking in, we went to the pool, which is a really good one, not too deep, long enough for a pleasant "length" and comfortably heated. The only thing to watch for is that footwear is an absolute necessity (they have signs that say this) at all times when in the pool area. Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room all were excellent. We didn't avail of the facilities of the inviting looking gym adjacent, but it looked good. Next morning, the breakfast was really good, cereals, porridge, fruit and juices to choose from to start, then the possibility of cold meats or full Irish Fry Breakfast - a fine foundation for the day! This was our first time here, but we are going to be back! Last point; once again, this app won't accept my ratings below for service, rooms and value: these are as follows:- service 5, rooms 4, value 5.
Standard of bar food has definitely deteriorated since Michael Murphy (old manager) left in 2015. Have given it a few tries but food is now very disappointing and a wee bit expensive for bar food. I used to love this hotel for the extensive menu and quality of food. It used to always be very hard to get a table in the bar, but now it never seems to be full.
Lovely evening spent in the Seven Oaks, with friends choosing from the bar food menu, plenty of choice and food. Excellent service from staff who catered for our table and made sure we had everything we needed.Located in the heart of carlow well worth a visit with plenty of parking available
Stayed 3 nights. Check in was 3pm but we arrived early and reception phone housekeeper to ask if she could finish our room so we could check in. Staff in all areas very friendly. Room very clean and spacious. We had room 105 which is ground floor with walk in shower it has a double and single bed. There is a safe in the wardrobe and iron and ironing board. Flat screen tv. Tea and coffee and biscuits. Free toiletries in the bathroom. Guests have free access to swimming pool and gym which is right next to room 105. Hotel is centrally located to the town for museum and library. There is a lady in the library on Tues and Wed that helps with family research. Also a lady called Lillian in the parish records office next to the cathedral who is very helpful with family search. Food in the hotel bar is excellent and large portions a main meal is around 15 euros. Drinks around 11 euros for a pint and a vodka and coke. It's around same prices in local bars. Would return to same hotel when next in Carlow.
I stay 2 night in seven oak hotel..it's was brilliant. Receptionist name Ms.Linda she is very friendly and helpful..morning breakfast was nice and staff in restaurant and bar they very friendly.housekeeping staff super clean the room., I'm very happy and great stay loved it. go raibh maith agat
We stayed here on our first night in Ireland on 22 September 2017 and we are so glad we did. The hotel was a last minute rush booked via the tourist information office in Carlow as there were no available B&Bs left. Receptionist was fantastic and very welcoming and we were booked into the 'Crofton Suite', very plush and we felt presidential. Room was massive but comfy, free wi-fi, everything perfect. We went into town and had a meal at Reddy's Bar and Restaurant on recommendation from the receptionist and they too were absolutely lovely. What a great welcome to Ireland. Breakfast was everything you'd expect despite it being very busy due to a bus load of German Tourists, the staff handled it exceptionally and professionally well. I'd love to go back, thanks for a great stay and some great memories.
