LISTING DESCRIPTION
Bring the dog and leave the car. Our fully renovated 'Manchester Front' bungalow has a private fenced yard, a shared outdoor hot shower for rinsing off sandy paws, and a shed stocked with surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and wagons. Walk 2 minutes to town for cafés, restaurants, and Seaside Market, then a few more to the beach. Inside: a king bed plus two twins, a fully stocked kitchen, AC, gigabit fiber wifi, and 4K TVs with YouTube TV.

THE BUNGALOW
Fully renovated, with designer furnishings throughout and a kitchen stocked with everything you need to cook a real meal. Split-system AC and heat keep it comfortable on hot summer days, and all bath, kitchen, and laundry supplies are provided.

STREAMING & WORK
AT&T fiber internet with 1 Gbps upload and download, plus a dedicated workspace. 4K TVs in the living room and primary bedroom come with full YouTube TV (Sports Plus, Entertainment, and 4K packages) and Apple TVs with 1,000+ movies. You'll also find Bluetooth bedside clocks with USB charging, a central charging station, and a portable Bluetooth speaker for the yard or the beach.

OUTDOORS
The fully enclosed private yard has a sunning patio, an outdoor dining area, and a BBQ grill just off the kitchen. Out back is a covered laundry room with a stacked LG washer/dryer and a dedicated dog relief area behind it. A shared outdoor hot shower for people and pups sits between the front and back bungalows.

THE SPORTS SHED
Surfboards, boogie boards, beach chairs and towels, umbrellas, sand toys, sand wagons, and Yeti-style coolers, all yours to use during your stay.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The bungalow sits on a quiet street, a 2-minute walk from the heart of Cardiff: restaurants, cafés, wine bars, boutiques, yoga studios, salons, the library and post office, and local favorite Seaside Market. Great surfing and beaches are just beyond. Hop the Coaster to downtown San Diego for the day, or drive a short way to hike the bluffs at Torrey Pines, snorkel La Jolla Cove, catch the races at Del Mar, or see a Padres game.

FEES & DETAILS
* Sleeps up to 5. The 5th guest uses the sofa, with bedding provided at check-in for $20/night.
* Dogs are welcome with a $118 pet fee for the additional cleaning that’s required for any kind of dog.
* The Encinitas 10% occupancy tax applies to stays of 30 nights or fewer and is waived for stays of 31 nights or longer.
* Staying 15+ nights? A mid-stay cleaning and linen refresh is strongly suggested every 14 nights and can be billed after booking.

DOG POLICY
We love dogs! A few simple rules keep the bungalow fresh for the next guests:
* Crate your dog when you leave them alone. We have crates if you need one.
* Keep dogs off the furniture. If yours can't resist, we provide pet sofa blankets.
* Pick up waste in the yard daily and rinse the spot afterward.

CLEANING

Every stay gets a full turnover. We air out the bungalow, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and launder every linen between guests, from mattress pads and duvet covers to shower curtains and bath mats. Our local cleaning and laundry crews are paid fairly, and they take real pride in their work.

CANCELLATIONS

The cancellation policy shown at checkout applies to your reservation. If something outside your control forces you to cancel after the refund window closes, let us know. We'll refund the cleaning fee and any occupancy tax, and we'll try to re-rent your dates and refund you for any nights we rebook.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony or patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. This little hideaway was very well located, just a short walk to grocery, cafes, etc. and also convenient to the beach. A big plus is the tropical oasis that is the outdoor space. Very private for reading, having a meal or just hanging out. Keith was a very good and responsive host. He and his wife really helped us feel at home. Check-in was personal and informative and everything was very clean and well organized.

Manchester Front was spectacular! It was our home for nearly 3 weeks. The space was clean, well appointed with hi-end appliances, and the bed was super comfy! Everything you could think of was provided. The outdoor area was gorgeous and well maintained. Our dogs felt at home and were able to use the yard area because it is entirely fenced in. The proximity to restaurants, shops, Seaside Market, and the beach was amazing. The Coastal Rail Trail was an easy walk from the bungalow. We loved everything about our stay and are sad to leave! Amazing location and great setup

Loved our time in Keith’s bungalow. The unit is super well setup for a true home away from home, plus great outdoor space and all the kit for a great bicycle ride / trip to the beach / surf and anything else you could think of!! Gem of a Place

This beautiful bungalow, surrounded by lush tropical foliage, is wonderfully designed and thoughtfully put together. The hosts have created a great guest experience that’s very professional and made us feel like special guests. The area is gorgeous. Just walk outside and you’re in one of the prettiest neighborhoods anywhere. In minutes you arrive at a nice boardwalk with great views, and then, the beach. We felt very fortunate to have stayed here and will be back.

Pleasant and relaxing base for our Spring Break trip!

We have stayed at many vacation properties in the Encinitas area and this was one of the very best! Nice quiet location within walking distance to the beach and several great places to eat, and central to many great attractions. We appreciated the cleanliness and comfortable beds and bedding WITHOUT the use of those decorative pillows that probably never get washed, thrown on the floor, used by other guests, then propped against your pillowcase. Anyway the unit is so thoughtfully stocked with items you might need for sunny days at the beach or rainy days out or in. At night we slept better here than any of the previous places we stayed in the area and during the day we enjoyed the outdoor seating areas as well.

Absolute gem

We wanted a place for our young family to enjoy spring break in the San Diego area. Having two bedrooms and laundry was important as we have two young kids who have incredible skills at getting stains on their clothes. I'm so glad I stayed outside of the city in a house, rather than in a hotel. The fenced yard was amazing, the gates all latch and so they were able to hang out in the front yard and play while we could keep an eye on them. Everything was set up to be child friendly, and it was so wonderful to be able to walk to restaurants and the beach. There is also a playground nearby at the local school, with a view of the ocean as a bonus. Keith and Stacey were extremely easy to communicate with, and the guidebook covered every question we had. Hope to return and book both units so we can share a vacation with the grandparents or friends.

We loved our stay at this bungalow. It’s small but would work for a couple with two young children but not for two couples. Minimally furnished with a clean mid-century modern feel. (Would have been nice to have some simple rugs in living room. Outdoor space is fabulous because even in winter one enjoys a spacious tropical feel and lots of light. The kitchen is not a good one if you like to cook. Tons of coffee makers but when it came time to prep a real meal, it was difficult. Poor lighting, minimal exhaust fan, missing necessities like a roasting pan (we asked and it was suggested we roast our chicken on a cookie sheet), and sparse serving pieces—for example no large bowls for soup or cereal. Owners plan an update and presumably these improvements will be included, as they’re considered basics in most kitchens and don’t warrant the cost associated with remodeling

Wonderful home base while we explored the San Diego coast

Wow this place was so dialed in! We had everything we needed. The shed was stocked with beach supplies. The kitchen was well appointed. Beds were comfy. Keith was incredibly hospitable and let us know he was there if we needed anything. We didn’t need a car and could walk, ride bikes or take Ubers to nearby attractions. I highly reccomend the Cardiff bungalows.

We had a great experience. The property manager is very attentive and has taken great care to ensure attention to detail. We traveled with our dog, it’s great to be able to stay in a 5-star property that is pet friendly. The location is super close to the beach, great shops and restaurants. Charming bungalow in a Stellar Location

Super comfy and cute - a short walk to beach and around the corner/down the street to the hub - with wonderful Seaside Gourmet Market, Restaurants, Starbucks & more. Nice yard/patio area for dogs and dining. Excellent hosts Stacy & Keith went above and beyond to provide me with everything I needed for a terrific stay. Highly recommend.
