We loved this hotel! It was older, outdated & could use updating but the convenience for us was a win. I wish the balconies were more private so I could enjoy my coffee in my PJs without the neighbors but oh well. There was always a musty smell from the humidity when we would return but it wasn’t so bad after being the room for a bit. (We would become nose blind lol) Worth it for the location to restaurants, the beach & the Coaster train depot. We will be back.

Great view from balcony. Room is spacious. Tv with cable. Bed and pillows are comfy. Free breakfast was good not great. Only problem with room was bathroom. The shower plumbing was backed up clogged with water and toilet flushed too loud.

Hot tub not hot. We were told we should be able to get in our room early, around 2:30-3pm, did not get into the room until 4:30. We got room keys at 4pm, but the room was not ready until 4:30pm. It made us late for our evening plans.

We selected this hotel because it was close to the beach. Front desk clerk didn’t seem to want to be bothered. He was away from the desk when we arrived to check in and when he got back, he didn’t say anything. When he removed the away from desk sign, I assumed he was who we were waiting for. Nice big parking garage. Hotel is a little older than I expected. Pool and jacuzzi needed to be cleaned, but guests used both. Breakfast was basic. Breakfast area was out of milk, so I had to find the attendant who was on a personal call in the back room. She had to leave to get more. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. Got woken up at 9am by housekeeping when checkout wasn’t until 11am and the vending machines are cash only but there’s no ATM. Walking distance to the beach and Encinitas, but no great walking route to the sidewalk from the hotel, you have to scramble down a steep dirt hill or walk down the driveway where there’s no sidewalk.

A nice quiet comfortable well kept place to stay

A nice quiet clean place to stay with a decent breakfast and nice staff. They kept the room tip top. Perfect location. The building needs remodeling due to age, but everything works. The views of the park and ocean are excellent.

Although the hotel is a little bit on the older side, the suites which kitchenettes were very nice. And having a balcony was another plus. The location is great and definitely walkable to the main strip of downtown Encinitas.
