It was great facilities cleanliness friendliness...AWESOME! Helpful friendly receptionist and housekeeping and attentive work out facility staff...it was great service from the Hilton. Thank you so much we highly recommend the hotel to all of our friends and family. We had upgraded rooms and an enjoyable stay with our children and were thankful for the extra service the staff provided for housekeeping and food service. Great hotel Highly Recommend
I went with the Hilton standard in mind but left dissapointed. None of the staff spoke even a little english and their treatment was definitely not of an 5 star Hotel, some of the staff being even rude sometimes. Room keys bugged almost every day. Souvenir shop vendor inside the Hotel tried to scam us (Tourists) several times, so be aware. Cleaning ladies were always polite and professional though. Great Breakfast and comfortable bed but terrible air quality/conditioning in the room.
The hotel is centrally located and have a very easy access to transport, food and shopping. We got a room on the 10th flr and have a good view of the surrounding mountains. Really nice to wake up to. Our room was always warm and there was no way to turn it down. I have read reviews about it so i didnt bother complaining. They kept the room clean for the 3nights/3days of our stay. The first night, i had to call for them to fix the fridge because it wasnt working. They were very attentive and they changed the fridge right away. We had to order food very late at night because of late arrival, and the room service was quick enough to arrive and for a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was ok, there was enough options to choose from. The hotel facilities are good. I really like that the gym was open 24/7. The roof restaurant had a panoramic view of the hustle and bustle of the town. Shame we didnt get a chance to dine there. Be warned that it gets very noisy early in the morning because of the mosque infront of the hotel (i was told that it was a call to prayer through a loud speaker) no need for wake up call or alarm clock for that matter lol. All in all im quite satisfied during my stay. I must commend all the staff that catered to our needs during our stay. Despite of their difficulty with speaking in english, they always try their best to be of help. They always smile and are very friendly.
We've stayed here before our way to Cappadocia but was disappointed this time as we had upgrade to A Terrace Suite which was not worth the extra money. The standard room is fine but the Terrace Suite was very neglected and tired. For a Hotel like this I expected at least red wine in the bar and not to be charged for a cap to use the swimming pool which did not have a hammam. However I did receive a bottle of red wine because we has to change our room as there was a leak. Overall the Hotel has a great location, views and staff, which are extremely polite and helpful. But the Hotel needs a lot of TLC.
I stayed there at the end of October 2017. Average temperature in Kaysari was 14C during the day, and 4-5C during night. The room was constantly at 29-30C. It was not possible to activate the air conditioning. Windows only opened 15cm (and it is noisy outside). It told hotel staff after the first night, I could barely sleep because of the heat. They said that they will do something. Second night, the same, 30C all night. I was told that that was the standard for the hotel, but they could switch it off for my room, which I said "yes, please". Third night, same 30C. They didn't do ANYTHING. I couldn't barely sleep for three nights!! Customer service (and their English) was really poor. I was unable to sleep properly for three nights, having to drink 1.5l bottle of water each night due to dehydration. Worst night sleep at a hotel ever! Positives: large room, comfortable bed, breakfast was ok. But the heat and lack of air conditioning ruined everything. I wonder who sets the room temperature, I wish they get stuck in a sauna the rest of their lives.
Damla and Gamze checked me in;I appreciated Gamze's English as I found most staff had limited or no English. Ahmet the Bell Captain very helpful, thank you. I would have preferred the option of air conditioning v.s. the set 'central heating'. Also the shower water temperature device was something I've not seen in my travels. Hot water a bit slow getting to the shower but it worked. Bathroom door opened onto the toilet, which was a bit strange considering the size of the room. Windows not very sound proof. However it was a great experience in Kayseri, without piles of tourists. There's an underground passage to cross the main street; it's worth asking the hotel how to find this as crossing is a bit tricky otherwise. There is a super market just around the corner, across from the flower stands but no sign telling you that you are at the super market. The Elmacioglu Restaurant is a 10 minute walk and offers excellent local food and is worth visiting after Goreme and the tourist adjusted food prices and tastes.
We stayed at this hotel for one night because we would buy a car in Kayseri. The breakfast was good but there weren't many kinds. It was like an usual breakfast at any 4 star hotel or a three star hotel. We had also dinner at the restaurant. It was called 'set Menu'. It means you have to choose certain meals not your own preference. That is, it isn't an open buffet restaurant. We had the only family at that restaurant. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is close to the every where. The staff are always smiling. I especially thank Fron Desk Office Süleyman for his efforts to find a car park for our car. And the lovely front desk ladies at the reception did their best to give us a good room.
Hotel's quality of service was superfluous, from check in to check out. Hotel was very, very clean, and my room and balcony gave me a real feel for the city. The only noteworthy hotel to stay in when you visit Kayseri. I stayed in one of their best rooms and it was serious value for money. A great place to relax before or after a trip to Cappadocia which is only about 40 minutes drive away. Kayseri is underrated and it should definitely be a place you visit if you are going to Cappadocia. The best food in the whole of Turkey comes from this region and the people, even strangers, were very welcoming.
This is the second time I am here for work. -exactly- one year ago I wrote my first review about this Hilton in Kayseri. it looks like a 2 brothers bought the -Hilton- name in Kayseri and are now exploiting this name to make things look nice and luxurious. This hotel is not anywhere close to a real hilton. we are approaching the month of June and temperatures outside are rising to 30 degrees. but the airconditionings are working only HEATING. no cold air. Right now I am dependent on my open windows (which give extreme noise) to get some cold air (28 degrees) outside is extremely noisy with loudspeakers aimed at the hotel working 24/7 with publicity and prayers. the personell of the hotel doesnt feel like they care if you sleep or not. In the morning around 07:00 door-slam-training starts and they seem to test if al doors slam shut as hard as possible. The windows are open because of the intense heat, the car beeping and squeeling starts around 04:30AM. sleep is inpossible after this time. sitting at the breakfast at 10AM I am sipping on my instant-coffee, and some white simple yoghurt with fruit from a can. Once back in my room I saw that my dry cleaning has not been washed at all. they took my (very dirty) shirt and ironed it. then put it back in my room. (i wrote VERY clear instructions 7 times in turkish and english ALL over the paper. but no one seem to care. the minibar is not working either. inside is 40 degrees 2 old warm beers and some molten chocolate. not worth at all. İ asked my collegues about their room, they had same issue. NO minibar. the hotel has a spa. on my floor. and around 08:00 they open up the ovens and hamams there. this causes the 3d floor to smell like extreem chloride and minty odors. really horrible to wake up in . (if you were sleeping in this time anyway....) internet : I bought PREMIUM internet for 3 days (30TL) but it is barely enought to watch a little youtube movie at 480x. it's rendering every 4 seconds. As of right now, I am hotspotting my mobie internet from my cellphone to my conmputer. Its way faster. I asked my work to change hotel as soon as possible, because they obviously got deceived by the Hilton name and Hilton prices. This hotel is Everything but a decent Hilton. Maybe a 2-3 star old antik hotel.
The hotel is a 12-storey grandiose building, right in the centre of the town. On one side it overlooks the busy Cumhuriyet Square and, on the other side, a large and nice park. It has all needed comforts and, at the time of my stay, rates were extremely moderate. It is definitely a very pleasant and convenient hotel. I stayed in a suite, to which I was kindly upgraded in the framework of the HHonors loyalty programme: it was rather like a large studio, with splendid views to the park and two separate areas: bedroom and sitting area. Infrastructures, amenities and fixtures are those expected in a 5-star hotel. I stayed 7 days: the room was always made up during breakfast time, with generous refills of coffee, tea, water and toiletries. The king-size bed was so large as to be considered oversize even in the US. The bathroom had both shower and tub. TV has a limited number of foreign channels, and news can only be obtained in English. No external noise was audible, due to the good acoustic insulation. The breakfast was excellent, also including a large selection of typical Turkish foods. Staff was friendly and obliging, but the language barrier occasionally caused communication problems. Views from the upper floors are tremendous: on the 12th floor there is a panoramic restaurant from where you can dominate the whole town and see far away to the surrounding area: the 4000 metres Argeus volcano stands just in front and a range of snowy mountains looms from a distance; an absolutely stunning view. There are also some less perfect details. The computers of the business centre work in Turkish language and assistance is needed if you don’t know Turkish. Communicating in English is possible only with a handful of staff members. The power of the air conditioning might be considered insufficient by people who like cooler temperatures. In spite of these imperfections, I consider that this hotel deserves a good rating, since the overall comfort is good, the location is unbeatable and, last but not least, rates are very attractive, making of this hotel one of the best bargains available nowadays in the 5-star range. I think that this is the right place to stay for a tourist and a businessman. The hotel is only a few steps away from the major tourist attractions of the town. The ancient citadel is just in front of it (but it is now closed and in restoration); the Bazaar, the Bedesten, the great mosques and the museums are all within walking distance. The area is extremely commercial and everything which may be needed by a visitor is at hand (including a large supermarket in the same building of the hotel). Tram T1 stops in front of the hotel, as do many bus lines. From the airport the hotel can be reached with bus #100, which stops beside the hotel. There is a taxi stand just in front of the hotel.
