The hotel was wonderful. Based just outside Camps Bay along the coast, standing alone, over looking the ocean. Swimming pool lovely and warm and loungers looking out at the amazing view. Staff fantastic and very helpful. Food brilliant and a breakfast buffet with fizz to die for. Free shuttle to the V&A waterfront an added bonus. Would highly recommend and will return.

I treated my mother-in-law for a high tea buffet at the Twelve Apostles. We were treated to the best service and experience. All the staff is so well trained and so friendly. The restaurants is absolutely stunning and it feels like you're in a other country. I will definitely be coming back for a spa experience.

Stayed at this hotel to close off our wonderful holiday to SA and this was meant to be the highlight - we now regret we chose that place, especially for what it costs. Worst luxury experience ever (if this could even count as luxury). The only thing I can positively comment on is that exceptional service of the staff, a signature of these type of properties. Anything else needs a major overhaul. Check-in area is too small (we ended up checking in the business centre in a small room in the back, which is not the sort of welcome you would expect). Room was not ready, then eventually we were moved and got an upgrade to compensate for that. Room are clean, but décor is dated. The reclusive location of the hotel would suggest that you will get to enjoy some peaceful views etc, but the hotel faces a main road which is busy, so when you have the windows open you feel like you are above highway (we stayed at the Marly hotel before, which despite being on a main strip was sheer bliss compared to this). Pool looks old dated and in a strange location (shade for most of the day given where it lies). Restaurant comes across as stuffy, menu was nice and food was good, but could be better for that type of money (however, breakfast is very good!). Wifi connection is also very poor. The hotel feels like it's been relying on its reputation and milking that, relaying on older customers who come back as loyal guests but it does not seem to do anything to attract new customers. Staff whilst friendly seems 'judging' - I felt bad wearing shorts and decided to change (the last time I felt like this was at a Belmond property). I would not recommend this place unless major modernisation takes place, way overrated and overpriced for what it is - there are nicer places in CapeTown.

We spent two nights to celebrate my birthday. What an experience!!!! Accomodation, food, staff were excellent. A very memorable stay, breathe taking view and will most definitely be back...to celebrate another birthday.

My wife and I stayed in this wonderful hotel for 6 nights on our honeymoon. The staff were excellent and the food was very tasty. It is based in a beautiful location about 20 mins outside the city. The regular transfers to and from the V&A Waterfront are ideal. There were a few staff members that we had the pleasure of dealing with regularly over the week and gave us exceptional service. They were Zukie, Luanda, Jay jay, Prince, Dane, Ntombenkosi and Chelsea. Thank you to the these and all the other staff that helped to make our stay fabulous.

We drove around the coast and decided on short notice to stop for lunch at the twelve apostles. Even though they where fully booked we managed to get a table at the restaurant facing the mountains. The welcome from the hotel and restaurant staff was very warm and friendly. the service in the restaurant was excellent. Even though we only had the lunch menu the food was very nice and tasty. I will for sure try to stay at this hotel during my next visit to the capetown region.

A sort out destination finally visited for lunch and it did not disappoint! Great views from the terrace and great service. A nice selection on the menu and the food lived up to expectations - fresh, well prepared and presented. Highly recommended!

I've been for my 6th time staying at 12 Apostles. Hotel is beautifully located, good service, good restaurant. Can say that you will not be wrong staying there. Meanwhile hotel is getting OLD. It need to be refurbished urgently to avoid having it's customers running away on new top selected hotels in Cape Town. Live expectation of a Hotel Room is 10 years. It seems that it is not the target on that place. Nothing else to say despite price are quite high and deserve high toplevel rooms to get value for money into accommodation. In any case one of my favourite places to stay while visiting Cape Town with children as hotel management is very caring about them and I really appreciate it as most of good 5* star hotels in South Africa have kids restrictions. Seems that they forgot one day there were kids and that a young customer today will became a good customer tomorrow. .

Second stay in this landmark hotel and what special stay it was - totally love the classic feel and dramatic location, a complete one off with lots of punch and style. I think the most impressive service was always with the front of house team, the concierge was incredible and he secured us tables for 4 days worth of our favourite restaurants and was one first name terms with all the restaurant managers to get us great tables- so helpful, so friendly and so professional - wish I could remember his name so he gets some credit! The whole set up here is excellent - it was only let down by some poor service in the leopard bar, breakfast and around the pool- not a deal breaker but the service here should be as slick and helpful as the front off house team. All in all a very special stay, thank you

I spoiled myself to experience what it would be like to stay here. I done it an got the t-shirt. Sadly I don't think I will bother again. It is a beautiful hotel but a little over rated for the price. They had a wedding on and the whole place was over crowded and noisy. We had a sea-view room (which I paid extra for) but I couldn't open the curtains because of the wedding guests partying outside my bedroom window. Therefore no view and a lot of noise. The spa and tea in the bar is highly recommendable though.
