A phenomenal place to stay in the Cape, next to tons of restaurants, bars, spa’s, Table Mountain....what’s not to love? Beautiful upstairs dining room and bar surrounded by glass. Enjoy the beautiful views even if it’s windy. Can’t wait to return!
A great location in the centre of Camps Bay, lovely hotel but what makes this hotel great is the staff. The girls on the reception (apologies I cannot remember your names) went over and above to accommodate us and make our stay just perfect in every way. Thank you girls.
We were so glad to see all these happy faces when it started to rain (actually pouring rain) last night... 28 March 2018 !!! We arrived on Monday afternoon, airport pick up organized by the Concierge.... everything done via email and very smoothly.... Restaurant bookings were all handled the same way ! Upon arrival 2 rooms ready with great views of the pool and the sea. Sunset was the real Camps Bay sunset.... unreal! Hotel Lobby very well decorated and the rooms were large with all the amenities that you could expect. Responsive and courteous Staff, solid Breakfast (usually included) make The Bay a perfect place in CPT Not sure if we got it wrong .... but very difficult to find a bar after 11pm.... and definitely not at The Bay (Hotel Bar would deserve to be refurbished but eventually it did not matter! Very nice place, Great experience ! We'll be back !
We stayed 5 nights 22nd march 18. the greeting when we arrived was top notch as was the room looking towards table mountain.. THE VIEWS AND BALCONY SUPERB !!everyone in the hotel was superlative could not fault them plus marks..... AND THE BED !!The food drinks and prices just great as was the position of the hotel in camps bay .Well placed for walking and restaurants ,Only downside was the hotel a little disjointed but quirky ..the pooll water was freezing and the VAGRANTS hassling you outside the hotel annoying but tolerable it was wopnderful and if the management .
We had booked 12 nights at the end of a 5 week trip around South Africa, it was now pool and beach time. The weather was ok some very hot days and some overcast days, the pool was always very cold and the sea colder still. Our room was very nice and comfortable with patio doors onto a decking then the pool, no need to walk anywhere, but be advised the sunbeds outside your decking have to have towels on them early to claim them. A lovely gym, lovely breakfast restaurant, but the Brassiere not up to much, fantastic location with loads of restaurant along the Sea Front, but the hotel is now looking a little tired, could do with a make over !!!
Both us & our traveling companions have a young children, so we had to find a hotel that would satisfy both fussy parents and the needs of the kids. I did lots of research and was surprised how many quality hotels didn't allow kids at all. We were lucky to find the Bay, which was perfect for us in every way. All my questions & requests before, during and after our stay were dealt in most professional way, no detail was too small or request too big. The team was exceptional, all facilities were impeccably clean and food great at all times. Location was obviously fabulous. Thank you for everything! I would strongly recommend to anyone!
Under new management and a good change. The welcome was exceptional (thank you Nicky) as we settled in for a lovely lunch on the patio. Rooms are amazing with the view from the front or the back breathtaking. The bar was a little disappointing but the pool area was great. Staff always helpful and on hand. Worth a visit
We had room 318, this overlooks the pool, lions head and the beach...couldn’t have asked for more...Staff are just brilliant, if you’re a petrol head you’ll live the owners motorcycle collection around the hotel. It’s just a lovely, relaxed and stylist place to stay... Day out tip, we hired bikes next to the hotel and cycled safely on the seafront path all the way to the V&A waterfront where you can drop off your bikes...easy ride...
We liked everything from the location, to the air freshener (yes seriously). It’s a really beautiful hotel, well placed, gorgeous inside, small but luxurious. Breakfast needs some work and coordination, but once we got to know the staff better it flowed as we knew how to work the issues. Our bedroom was beautiful and comfortable with a fantastic view over the sea and beach. A special hotel and Camps Bay is a special place.
Just returned from spending 10 days at The Bay in March 2018. One of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time setting a standard that many, many others around the world should endeavour to emulate. All round excellence and a hotel I will be recommending to all friends and acquaintances to stay at if visiting this amazing city of Cape Town. Loved it guys, keep up the good work, and Steven (you know who you are) thanks for making my wife’s birthday one she will always remember.
