The staff are very friendly and helpful, the accommodation was perfect and our room was spacious and just what we wanted and needed. The restaurant and food is absolutely tasty and well worth every minute being there! Will definitely visit again :)
Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Rooms are clean and look like the pictures on the website. Perfect location. Close to restaurants, bars and the beach. Worth the price. I would definitely go back.
Sugar Hotel is a very nice boutique Hotel perfectly located in Greenpoint, Cape Town. It’s close to everything; downtown, W&A Waterfront, Seapoint... The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. And the bathrooms are just superb. Breakfast is included. And what a breakfast! You choose from a fantastic a-la carte menu and dig in. Really high quality. The hotel includes a small spa and a highly ranked restaurant - Spice on Main. We had dinner here twice and loved it both times. The staff at Suger is just great! So helpful, nice and full of knowledge. They can help you with a lot of things, like reservations, guided tours and airport transfer. We loved it here and will be back for sure!
Really enjoyed our stay in this chic and beautiful boutique hotel - our hosts were so charming and helpful - cool guys! We ate in the restaurant - the food and wine were delicious. Location is excellent, just 15 min walk from the vibrant V and A Waterfront which is a must see. Highly recommended.
Wow, fantastic, friendly and fun welcome, nothing goes unnoticed. Felt like a honeymoon. The professional service, food, room and the Spa was such an amazing treat and experience. Loved the décor and top notch presentation of the food. Thank you for this sweet (excuse the pun) experience and would highly recommend staying with you to everyone!!!!
This hotel it really a hidden gem. The rooms are lovely - simple, chic design, with an outdoor seating area, and plunge pool (sadly due to water restrictions we didn't use it). Rooms are very soundproof, and beds are super comfy with quality pillows and linen, which is so important. The hotel itself is very modern and well appointed, with a great spa and nice restaurant. What really elevates Sugar to 5 stars though, is the staff and the excellent service they give, from the time you walk in the door. They are unfailingly helpful, welcoming and obliging, and this made Sugar Hotel my favorite stay in Cape Town by far. It's also a great location - close to V&A Waterfront and the MOCAA, not far from Bree St, Shortmarket St and the cool restaurants and bars. I am only sorry we didn't book more nights here. All round - wonderful, and I highly recommend this hotel.
Spent the last two nights of our holiday here and were very impressed by the friendly staff and location of the hotel. Just 10 minutes from the Waterfront and city centre you can park your car and forget about it ! The rooms were tastefully furnished and we had the added bonus of an outdoor space with plunge pool although this was out of use due to the drought. The breakfast was simply stunning and the best we ate during our whole holiday- if this is the standard of cooking then our only regret would be that we didn't have time to have dinner in the restaurant having booked elsewhere with friends- will definitely consider for next time. The orange juice was freshly pressed, the omelette perfectly cooked with a hint of chilli and every filling imaginable. I had a diving smashed avocado on toast and all the dishes were exquisitely presented with colourful cress and leaves to finish- DIVINE! This is the perfect spot if you are staying briefly in the city or wish to be near the V and A but note that there is no pool so this may out so people off if you are in Cape Town during the summer.
The hotel is ideally situated to access the V&A waterfront and is about a 20 min walk. The room was clean and spacious and all staff very helpful and friendly. Food was served was excellent, really well prepared and tasty. The choice on the menu was varied and catered for all tastes.
Customer service is excellent here. This small hotel works hard at getting things just right, including the little touches e.g. robes and slippers. Food and drinks are both very good and reasonably priced. 15-20 mins walk into the centre ok but Uber a lazier easy option. Spa available if you have the time.
We arrived on the 21st and stayed in room 1 for 5 nights. We had a wonderful experience. The room was very large and comfortable. Housekeeping kept it very clean and replenished supplies regularly. Noise from the main road was not a factor. The attached restaurant has a fabulous kitchen. Included breakfast meals were excellent as were the dinners we had. The wine list also offers a wife range of quality products. What made our stay outstanding was the service and smiles from everyone working in the hotel. George acted as our concierge and arranged wonderful city and wineland tours and transfers. The waiting staff in the restaurant were also excellent. Some of the folks who deserve a shout out are Peter, Aviwe and Webster. All the staff were very professional and friendly. The only caution is laundry service is expensive. Having said that I also have to say the clothes were perfectly cleaned and packaged in what looked like gift boxes when we returned to our room. We would stay here again.
