This is a lovely small boutique hotel close to the water front in Cape Town. The staff were all friendly and professional and happy to help with any questions. The breakfast was very good. We stayed in rooms 1 and 2 and my only recommendation would be to have curtains placed to cover the light from the windows. Would gladly recommend the hotel. Loved the art!
A lot of thoughts have been put into the design of this hotel. The rooms are spacious and luxurious. The staff are friendly, and went out of their way to help you. Other than a slight problem with WiFi, there really is no complaint at all about our stay here.
Stayed for three nights in October 17. We found the hotel very charming and the personnel very friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast with everything we needed. Very nice and clean room. Nice location with walking distance both to the water front as well as to down town Cape town.
My husband and I stayed at Dysart hotel for 4 nights . Dennis was marvelous and so helpful , nothing was too much trouble and he couldn't do enough to make our stay more pleasurable . The hotel location is great for getting around .The breakfast was lovely with a great selection to choose from.
Dysart is the perfect oasis to stay in the heart of Capetown. Rooms are spacious and spotless. The location is within walking distance to everything. The hotel staff is top noch and helpful with questions and recommendations. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Capetown.
We stayed six night at this boutique hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the staff. The accommodations are lovely. We had a room with kingsize bed, a large shower (big enough for two) and a small veranda overlooking the smaller pool of the two on the hotel grounds. The hotel arranged for a pick up and drop off at the airport. We also used the same person for two day trips. The hotel is located just a short taxi ride from the Victoria and Alfred Wharf area, where one can visit the Two Ocean Aquarium and catch the Cititour bus (wide variety of tours, city, countryside, etc.). The hotel is two blocks up from Main Street. There are at least three restaurants (not fancy ones) about two blocks away on Main Street and then another half a mile further west a bunch of fancier restaurants. The football stadium is also a short distance from the hotel. For those that like parks, the Green Point Park is across the street and has a lovely walkway that goes all the way to the lighthouse at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. One can then walk along the shore edge all the way to Victoria and Alfred Wharf. The hotel has a lovely breakfast room where the staff prepares omelets, scrambled or other sorts of eggs, along with the accouterments.
We've been there for 6 nights. We had been in Boutique Hotels many time: Israel, Berlin and Italy. This is not a Boutique Hotel. It is a big house where they organised like a Boutique Hotel. In tripadvisor it is rated as 5 stars. Please, change it quickly. It is really a nice place, amazing staff, good location spot, BUT its is NOT a 5 stars. Breakfast needs improvements and there is not enouth staff to serve the beakfast. 3 or 4 stars can be. If you go with the right mindset about the stars, perfect. You should choose this hotel. If you are looking for a 5 stars, choose another one. Ahh...the cat is very nice!
I stayed here for three days whilst at a conference. It was fabulous. Perfect little oasis of calm and tranquility but with great restaurants a short walk away down the hill. Unusual pool design with similarly quirky and great decor in rooms. Attention to detail is second to none here. Breakfast is fabulous!
A wonderfully welcoming Hotel. We were here for a very busy whistle stop snapshot tour of Cape Town travelling from the UK for 8 nights. The Hotel arranged for car to collect us from the Airport and we were treat like VIP's from that very moment. It was a very slick process and we were soon delivered to the Hotel. We felt very welcomed immediately and the atmosphere was one of nothing was too much trouble. Our room was large and spacious and we loved the huge shower. High standards of cleanliness throughout and rather than unpack straightaway we sat and enjoyed more than 1 glass of wine overlooking the pool and gardens- Heaven after 24 hours of travelling. Breakfast is freshly cooked to order and they even arranged Lunch for my husband one day when I was unfortunately in bed with a migraine all day. All the staff were very obliging and organised takeaways on a couple of nights when we returned exhausted after our very long days. Due to our schedule we spent relatively little time at the Hotel however the time we did spend there was very enjoyable and I would have no hesitation in recommending or returning here.
Dysart Boutique is a great place to stay in Cape Town! Affordable, friendly and convenient. The hotel is in a prime location overlooking the harbour front and is within easy walking distance of the V&A waterfront and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any queries about the area or travel logistics. They also have a cute cat named Daisy, who is usually around sunbathing on the patio. The rooms are all clean and comfortable, a delicious continental breakfast with the option of homemade cooked eggs each morning, and space to relax or swim in the infinity pool on the patio. My only fault with Dysart was the lack of communication before arrival. Despite emailing my queries and trying to book the taxi they recommended, I did not receive any replies.
