Nothing like the pictures

This was one of the most frustrating check-in experiences I’ve ever had. The lobby was uncomfortably hot—over 90 degrees—and communication was extremely difficult as I could barely understand the front desk staff. The process itself was overly complicated, requiring multiple steps like submitting credit card authorization forms for each guest, re-verifying IDs, and even paying again despite having already prepaid for the booking. The rooms were a major letdown—small, cramped, and nothing like the photos advertised. The first room I was given had a strong musty, moldy odor, and I had to request a different one immediately after checking in. Overall, the stay did not meet expectations and was a disappointing experience.

The pictures aren't accurate of this property. The rate I was given on here was less than what I had to pay at property but was definitely not worth what I had pay. This hotel is like a frat house partying, running up and down the halls n stairs, banging on the walls. I was originally given a closet room with a door frame that looked like it was kicked in after I called and asked for a normal sized room due to previous reviews. Rooms weren’t cleaned properly. The pool was dirty and cloudy our whole stay when I said something about it they said they cleaned it. If you’re looking for a family oriented place to stay this isn’t it!

The property was dirty, run down, water stains and mold, blinds in the bathroom let you look in from outside, and they even gave a key to my room to another guest who walked in while I was in bed.

I liked the location only a short 5 min walk to the boardwalk. The hotel conditions were beyond terrible, seemed like it was under construction and had a terrible smell in the hallways. Our first room had dirty sheets, a busted door, and light bulbs out. We asked to have them change the sheets while we were out and they claimed they did. We walked up the four flights of steps to realize they hadn't. We requested a new room and that one also had light bulbs out so it was very dim. And holes in the wall near the window. For the amount paid, i would have expected a much better experience. I would like a refund.

The hotel completely misrepresented what the rooms look like. The pictures on the website of the rooms or nothing like the actual rooms. They were significantly outdated, much smaller, and the furniture, decorations, and bathrooms or nothing like they appeared on the website photos.

First off this hotel was my last resort. Second buyer beware. This place reminds me off a frat house. It seems rundown and old. All they did was a bunch of patchwork when it comes to renovations. Nobody was happy. Everyone complained about the hotel and room layout. We had footprints on our headboard and that was weird. I’d a been better off sleeping in my car honestly. They should’ve paid us to stay there. That’s just how I feel. If you waste your money here good luck.

The room smelled very weird. There were odd stains on the pillows. The towels smelled like mildew. Crumbs on the floor everywhere. Dirty on the side of the sink with old shampoo bottles. The staff were okay. They didn’t ask us how the stay was or if we needed anything. Some outlets in the room were not functioning. Would not stay again.

After we checked in we were bringing our bags up to the room and the front desk woman asked us for the key back. She said it was the wrong room and it wasn’t ready. Once we did get the new keys the room was so small my father and I barely fit we slept with our luggage on the beds. The floors and tv remote were sticky. I didn’t even feel comfortable taking a shower there nor sleeping under the sheets.

Beware of ‘free cancellation’

I tried to cancel our reservation thru the Hotel as well as thru Hotels.com. I could not cancel using either. I was charged for the room. Don’t think that free cancellation is free cancellation. In addition to not cancelling my reservation, they processed my reservation that I checked in. We never checked in. Overall, shady behavior from both the app and the establishment.

Our stay

This hotel is in need of updates. The room was clean and comfortable but very small and the a/c unit in the window had mold all around. All the knobs on the a/c were removed and difficult to adjust temp in room. Door frames gross and need paint. Bathroom very small.
