Always a lovely stay at Congress Hall.

I enjoyed learning the history surrounding the place.

like the view, quiet place that makes you to have a good rest, very clean, comfortable beds, staff very pleasant

Excellent location, and decor is nice without being "stuffy". Concierge made us a reservation at Blue Pig Tavern prior to our arrival - but unfortunately the Tavern contacted us just prior to arrival to cancel our reservation since they decided to be closed. Should make those types of decisions well in advance.

I always enjoy staying at Congress Hall but it's only in my budget during the off season. For the first time ever I had a balcony room and that was very nice. The front desk staff and food staff were all great. Some things I did not like this time...housekeeping hair found throughout the room and they forgot to turn off the holiday music outside. I had to call at 1 am because it was too loud to sleep (and I normally can sleep through anything.) Mistakes happen, nothing that would stop me from visiting again.

Overall, we had a fantastic Labor Day weekend in Cape May. There are a lot of positive things about this resort and while it is expensive, all hotels on the beach in cape may are expensive. What we loved is the historic charm of this hotel, it has all of the amenities that you need w/great location. The thing I was most impressed with was the focus they had on keeping people safe. Only those staying or with restaurant reservations can be onsite and all fellow visitors followed rules on mask wearing and social distancing. I felt safe all weekend. There are a few things that would have made our stay better and I think they are easy fixes that are consistent in their reviews so hopefully one more review pushes them over the edge of fixing these things. Besides the lovely pool attendant, the remainder of the staff is sub-par. The woman at the check in desk could use a serious lesson in customer service-she was simply rude and its unacceptable at the price point. The beach staff were more busy hanging out with each other then taking care of the guests. Don't order food at the beach-it takes well over an hour and is cold by the time it gets to you. I saw the bags come from the kitchen and sit in the beach shack for a while -the staff had no interest in getting that food to customers with any sort of timeliness. Additionally, the hotel needs some work-paint chipping, lightbulbs missing, trashcans overflowing, broken umbrellas, etc.

Ambiance, decorations, history, location, friendly n helpful staff.

Beautiful property. We will definitely be back! Great service and comfortable beds!

Great stay .. they have great set up for Xmas time

The hotel has so much to offer from the views, food, bar/lounges, pool, beach and so much more. The staff was very nice and attentive. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in.

Went for my birthday, and I am so glad I did. It was an experience I will never forget, especially because my sister treated me and my mom for a 2 night stay. Will definitely stay there again.
