very friendly personal, very big suite, lovely breakfast, near by the lake, The hotel has many different pleasant treats, soft drinks free of charge, unparalleled make-up cosmetics a large space for a wardrobe,
I stayed here in 2014 and again in 2017. Really great staff - nothing was too much trouble and the service is first rate very personal and attentive from the front desk to restaurant to tune down maid service. We were upgraded and thoroughly enjoyed our spacious suite which was home from home for five nights. Great location and easy to get around Zürich from here. Perfect home from home for five days.
This hotel was amazing! The staff was amazing and the rooms are great! We couldn't of asked for anything more. The hotel is a close walk to the park and waterfront as well as shopping areas. Its in a quiet area, which was great but just two blocks to all the fun! I would recommend this hotel to everyone!
Words cannot adequately express our appreciation for the incredible service that we received during our recent stay at this stunning hotel. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much. Thank you Angel and ur team at the front office, thank you delightful Sylvia in the dining room. We could not have hoped for a better start to our European adventure. We will be back and we will tell everyone who cares to listen just how amazing you all are.
We started our 27 wedding aniversary with a Champagne Breakfast in this great hotel. I need only one word to describe: AWESOME ! Excellent choice of foods including salmon, all fresh and very tasty as well as a great variation of breds, toast and croissant. Great choice of fres fruit Juices. And last but not least a very nice location. By the way...with parking lots in front of the hitel, and this downtown Zurich. Also to mention...very friendly and attentive staff....as mentioned: excellent. We will return.
The staff was really nice and the hotel was really good. The apartments are very spacious making it very comfortable for the kids. When going to Zurich again we will definitely stay there again. When booking again in a big group make sure you notify the hotel to make sure that the rooms are close.
Great rooms and wonderful, personal service! This was our second stay at the Alden - we chose it for suitability for our family of 4, comfort and location, Two things make the Alden really special - very spacious, well-appointed rooms and fantastic staff. Every member of staff went out of their way to fulfil our requests - for wrapping paper at 10 pm, a Xmas dinner for eight guests wanting eight different things, special requests for breakfasts, any type of glass we wanted. These are things that great hotels have stumbled upon before in our experience, but the Alden staff do whatever they can to help. Breakfast is expensive (everything in Zurich is expensive) but with a wide range of items and very tasty. The Alden is right up there as one of the best boutique hotels we've ever stayed in. Thank you for a great stay!
pleasent hotel , quite , responsive to the guests. not the cheapest in Zurich but good. good working space - good for few people confidential meetings. not centrally located but still relatively close to all important places .
The hotel was wonderful the moment we checked in. The hotel reception staff was very friendly and helpful. As we celebrated our wedding anniversary here, they surprised us with an upgrade to a main suite (I booked the junior suite). There were balloons and personalised message and a cake for us which was lovely as little touches add up. The room was huge with ample space for all our 3 luggages. The bed was super huge (not too sure if it was a king or even larger) and comfortable. Pillow was a little soft for me but they gave a few hence there wasn't any problems after I stacked them. The bathroom was large with separate areas for toilet and shower. The bathtub was one of the largest I've seen and could fit my husband well (a lot of tubs are too small). There were 2 sinks and ample counter space for toiletries. Toiletries provided were L'occitane (shampoo, conditioner, body soap), however they provided a bar soap for the body. I had to request for the liquid version. The living area was also large with ample couch space to rest and relax. A Nescafe machine was provided. However, there was no kettle nor tea for non-coffee drinkers like me. I requested an electric kettle from the housekeeping and it was provided quickly. The balcony was also large with tables and chairs for one to chill out. The location of this hotel is not so centrally located and more quaint. It was also about a 5-minute walk to Lake Zurich. Nonetheless with good weather, we still managed to walk back to the hotel most times from the city without any issue. For the price we got, it was value for money as well considering the prices of Switzerland and how small most hotels are. Overall we had a great experience and would consider staying at Alden again.
