The location of the hotel is good at 10 minutes walk from la Croisette and 15 to the train station. The Bar at the lobby and the restaurant are ok. The Staff is friendly and helpful. But the rooms need serious attention. Painting on the doors peeling of with holes from replaced locks. Equipment at the bathroom old and in bad condition, stained toilet, shower broken and no hangers. The space in the room I was in was extremely limited distance between the wall and the bed was something like 30 cm and to walk from one side of the room to the other I had to walk sideways. Bedding old and uncomfortable. Wouldn't go there again... and wouldn't recommend it.
Bugs in the room Bed cover was torn and faded Room needed to be renovated. Would not stay there again!!!! Crack in the bathroom. The staff was very friendly, helpful and tried to be accommodating .
Upon arrival we checked in with a very friendly gentleman. He assisted us with checking in and was very helpful in answering our questions regarding what to do, what to see, and where to eat. Being our first night in France and first time in Cannes, we wanted to get some advice and insight from a local. Since there was no concierge at this hotel, in fact, no other staff to speak with in the lobby, and no other customers waiting to be helped besides us, we were not holding anyone up. Even so, the Supervisor on duty came out from an office with a two way mirror, gave us dirty looks, stood in silence behind the gentleman helping us, and after about a minute suddenly said to us "Are you done here? We are very busy and have a lot of other things to tend to. You have to go now." As you can imagine we were utterly and completely shocked at this kind of treatment. Apparently, paying customers aren't expected to ask questions or for recommendations at this establishment because it annoys the supervisor. We were so stunned by this despicable service that we were literally left speechless. The only reason we didn't immediately check out, demand a refund, and go to another hotel was because the Cannes Film Festival was taking place and no rooms were available anywhere else. To top it off, the rooms were dilapidated with moldy peeling wall paper and no AC. Just a wonderful swamp cooler that blew out warm humid air. If want to spend your hard earned money in a place that treats you like garbage just for asking for recommendations and with hot stuffy rooms, then this is definitely your place. Enjoy.
