The room was very poor. Heavily stained carpets and upholstery. Tilted and very uncomfortable bed, damp walls, dangerous electrical sockets protruding from the walls and an inoperable telephone and therefore no room service. All of this for over 700 Euros for two nights! No refund offered, despite the glaringly obvious unsuitability of the accommodation.
Location, though close to the sea, has a lot lacking. No food offering in immediate vicinity. It's a walk to get there from the restaurant and cafes that are open till late. People, helpful and nice. Food. Breakfast is ok. Room service has a very limited offering Room. Needs renovation. Though size is decent and comfortable. Sleep quality was good. The air conditioning is off, since heating is on, leaving somebody like me, uncomfortable.
Nice people operating the hotel. Clean rooms and bathrooms but very dated. Time for a do-over! The location is great near the beach and town. Restaurants a short walk away. A comfortable experience despite the decor.
Situated not far from famous Boulevard de la Croisette. Nice view and friendly staff. Also private parking back of the hotel where we can left car in safe. Sadly rooms need some refurbishment. Extra star for friendly, welcome staff and good kitchen.
We stayed with our kid at this hotel for 3 nights with a group tour to French Riviera. Room on the 3rd floor smelt really awful due to the very dirty old carpet and the toilet-bathroom pipes. I asked for a change but a rude receptionist denied to give us a better room (which exist but not for groups as she said) if we did not pay more money. My kid was crying not being able to afford the smell but paying 349 per night as she told us was too much. We had to have the balcony door open at night to breath! The balcony had no high separation wall from the next room. Everything were about to turn apart in the room since they probably never redecorated these rooms from the time the hotel was built. The breakfast was another story! Two separate breakfast rooms, one for private customers and one for groups. The only hot food was bacon and scrambled eggs (smell awful like old) and the cold food was such a small selection you only find in a 2 or 3 stars and not in a 4 star hotel.
I am extremely disappointed with the service at this hotel especially at the reception. The person called Edwardo should really start to find an alternative career because he is clearly not fit for a customer service role. He was rude, not polite, unhelpful and to put it simply & politely "useless". The room we were allocated first was simply disgusting, nails out of walls, dated as if i was stuck in a time wrap, smelly and the list goes on. Only to be my worst nightmare ever. My sister and my friend requested to change and was given a chance to view other room and asked to pay an extra £85 a night to move to a refurbished room. I have been working in the hospitality industry for many many years for hotels & serviced apartments company and this is the first time I have experienced such an appalling service from all reception members and house keeping. I discourage anyone who wishes to stay at this hotel during their holiday in Cannes. There are much better hotels to chose from.
We were here for the Cannes Film Festival and as it was a last minute work trip we were very restricted as to where we could say. I work in Cannes a lot and I can hand on heart say that I would rather sleep on the beach then here again. The bed was not too bad and the sheets were clean but other than that it was drab, dirty, leaking, broken, stained and generally rubbish. I half expected chalk marks on the floor from a police investigation it was that bad. One morning we came down to find a resident had smashed all the glass entrance doors in reception, but to be fair they got them replaced super quickly within the day. The breakfast was not too bad - better than I thought it would be when I saw the hotel but there was never quite enough fruit out so if you got a greedy guts it was all gone! To add insult to injury, during the festival the price goes up to 500e ! What the actual!
We arrived and immediately good 😊 impression and courtesy by the staff . Top location and top quality vacation ... I suggest who can... can cannes in this marvelously hotel . Have a nice vacation here in Cannes Palace Hotel Rlc
I travel quite regularly to Cannes and since I found the "Cannes Palace", I would not exhange it for no other hotel. Please, understand me, I am not saying it is better than the Martinez or the Intercontinental, far from that. But it iis a nice place where people are very kind and very eager to please their customers (and this is quite rare in France). Most of the Hotel have been renovated in the previous years but I am not sure all of it was. In any case, you should ask a renovated room and the ones form the higher floors are probably the best ( calm becaue of the height and so bright with the sun). That's what I do. The location is also very pleasant, a few minutes walk from "La Croisette" and with special relation with a private beach. All the ingrédients to spend quality time when in Cannes. I cannot stop recommending it. Try It and come back to tell me how it was.
No not a high end 4 star hotel, but you get what you pay for, if you want a higher level of hotel so near La Croisette and rue d'antibes you need to spend more on your stay. Agree wifi is not great but luckily us EUers have ridiculously low roaming fees, sorry brexiters!
