The room was okay overall; however, the environment and décor could be improved. The wild animal decorations on the walls felt a bit unsettling after moments of relaxation. The restaurant staff was fine, but unfortunately the food was not very good and felt overpriced for the quality. The jacuzzi was very small and not suitable for kids. Having a small pool for children to enjoy while parents use the spa would make a big difference to the overall experience. We visited the spa in the morning, and the saunas were not hot at all, which was disappointing. At the same time, maintenance was being done on the sidewalks, with chemicals being applied while guests were walking barefoot, which was uncomfortable and concerning. Additionally, at checkout, my sister was incorrectly charged for restaurant items that were billed to the room. Overall, the stay had potential, but several details impacted the experience and could be improved.

Amazing new hotel in Canmore, minutes away from downtown. The room was cozy with beautiful mountain views and a luxurious bathroom. The Nordic spa was incredibly relaxing after a day of snowshoeing with various lodges and hot & cold pools. This is absolutely worth a stay or at least a visit to the Nordic spa.

For over $400 a night, I certainly expected much more for a 'premium room'. The room itself was average although it did have a large premium bathroom. This part didn't bother me so much as perhaps the location of the room itself. Right across the hall from our room was a storage room and an ice machine and a stairwell. So to say that it was extremely noisy would be an understatement. Beyond that, my wife and I had to fight with the staff in order to just simply have some robes to wear in the room. We didn't see this as such an issue, considering there is a spa with more than enough robes to go around. The staff were very concerned that the robes would go missing for some reason. We've had better rooms and better service at a Sandman hotel for way less money. There are much nicer hotels for less in Canmore. I wont be staying at a Basecamp hotel again.

Poor service. We requested a room cleaning during our stay which was included, and never received it. Rhythm and howl food was not good. Spa was very underwhelming for the price, and when I asked if we could wear our robes up to our room, we were told we have to bring them back ourselves. Not a big deal, but for the price of the hotel stay and the spa, you would think room cleaning would take care of that. Would not stay here again or visit the spa.
