What a gem this place is! The breakfast was sooo good and our room was very comfortable. Enjoyed chatting with the owner to get those tips about visiting Banff. We would definitely stay here again!

Unique - perfect for some, but not for everyone

This had a 9.4 when I booked it, and was probably the first time I've been disappointed with a hotel with that kind of rating. On one hand, its very quaint and nice, definitely unique, nicely decorated, and had a good atmosphere. But the lack of amenities was a problem for me. There was no coffee/hot water kettle in the room (but they did have an ironing board?!). The room was very cold at night, with no thermostat for me to adjust. To make matters worse, there is no one at the front desk after around 7, so since I arrived later in the evening, there was no one to ask for help. Serving breakfast would be very nice, but they only will serve it between 8:15 and 9:30 - which are pretty limited hours. On the one day that I did get the breakfast, it was fabulous.

In a quiet location with view of the mountains. Love the quaint lodge decor and that each room has a patio or balcony. They also served an amazing home cooked breakfast delivered right to our room. Will be back next time we visit Canmore !

The price for what we had, paying more to get a jaquizzi tub and wanting to use the hottub to find out both are not to be used after the hours of 9pm. Ridiculous! You should be able to use to 1030pm or 11pm. No wonders both do not get used.

Great alternative to large traditional hotel

The perfect middle ground between larger format hotels, and very expensive air-b&b options Check in staff were excellent. Accommodated a late check in, and were friendly and helpful. The building and the grounds are beautifully up-kept. The design of the room is a little awkward with the shower in the middle of the living space, but that’s the only thing. Hot tub area is private, and super clean too.

Awkward room, but a pleasant stay

We were baffled to find a bathtub as soon as we walked in to the room. The bathtub takes so much space of the small room. Getting in and out was a hassle too. Very awkward to take a shower in the middle of a room. I didn’t realize it at the time of booking, but now when I look at those cleverly taken pictures, I can see it. Toilet is very small as well. Air conditioning is not great either. Having said that, we loved this place. It has very cozy and well maintained. The entire staff and owners are very nice people and made every effort to make our stay memorable. Best thing is their breakfast. Very well made and well presented. They took care of our dietary restrictions and made special arrangements for us. Than you for that.
