This is not a 5 star hotel. It's not at all fancy so don't expect top of the line commodities. The beds were kind of hard but the view and comfort made up for everything else. The hammock was such a treat! I saw the sunrise right from the balcony. I would stay here again if under a budget.

Check in was quick and easy, Rooms were clean staff was friendly.

I have recently spent a week at the Rocamar hotel. The pictures I saw on Orbitz were great, but the reality was a bit different. Apparently I have booked a ground level room which turned out to be a basement room. There were no pictures of this room posted on the hotel's website. It was very disappointing, traveling to such a beautiful place to spend a week in the basement room. The advertisement should say basement room instead of ground level !!!

Our room was on the third floor with an ocean view. The weather was rather stormy/windy when we arrived and even though the clouds gave way to sunny skies, we kept the sliding patio doors closed due to the loud roar of the ocean. The floors are very slick so due take care. The shower was a very soft trickle. I took unscrewed the shower head and cleaned it and it did help some. The water takes a bit of time to get hot. We did not use the pool because it was too windy!

Good location but overpriced. Check it n staff was not polite.

Hotel clean and the basic needs, one thing plus is the pool!

If you are family with small children don't think about this place.

Good location. Near swimming beach and restaurants.

Being first-time travelers to Mexico, we were a little nervous about language barriers, location, and even if our reservation would be scheduled. Our reservation was, indeed, ready. We checked right in and loved our room. Do add "ocean view" for the extra few dollars (literally a few dollars...I think it was $5 extra a night for us!). The ocean waves and breeze were absolutely mesmerizing, the pool was comfortable and clean, the cleaning staff left little notes and gifts, we felt safe and secure. We would go back to Rocamar and ask for the very same room again. My wife is convinced: "BEST ROOM ON ISLA!"

The Hotel is exactly what I expected, close to Everything, Clean comfortable rooms, and Do Not worry if you dont get a room on a high floor, you will still be able to see and hear the the sound of waves crasing to the shore. This is the only Hotel i will stay at from now on while visiting this Beautiful island,of course this is only my opinion, but if you want a Great room, with very Friendly staff and Great rooms and location This is it.

Hotel Rocamar is a good place to stay on Isla Mujeras. It is close to the North Side night life, right on the ocean front with a great view of ships coming and going. Great breakfast is close by and you are even close to the hospital, if that's you're thing... The only real issues for us was the lack of standard morning hotel amenities and it wasn't truly an "adult only" hotel. There were some kids there that were pretty disruptive. Definitely an alternative experience to what we are used to in the states, which was a good thing for us. We would definitely go back and would recommend it to our friends.

the hotel is great, convenient to everything the downtown area has to offer, comfortable rooms, a GREAT staff willing to help you every way they can, we will definately stay here Every time we visit Isla Mujeres, this is a must hotel on Isla.

Though a bit older than other hotels on the island, the Rocamar has a very relaxed established vibe that makes guests feel comfortable.

On the ocean, great service, clean rooms five min walking to town

Nice place to stay in Isla. Walkable to everything and easy to get to from the port area. Good price on the golf cart rental and the pool wasn't too bad. Small, but they do what they can to make it nice and accommodating. Beautiful view of the water. Overall good for the price.

Pretty basic, but excellent value and location--just a few blocks walk from Cozumel ferry.

Plus: Great view from balcony. Clean room and all other areas as well. Room was pretty okay. Five minutes walk to center of town. Ten minutes walk to great North Beach area. Coffee available in the morning. Pretty quiet at night away from the noise. Cons: Staff not really friendly, no saying Ola when you passed by reception, or even smiling in greeting. Not really helpful when I told them that I was unable to access wifi, I never got internet at the hotel, but was able to get it in any cafe or restaurant. While hammock on balcony was great no so to have people walking just outside looking at you. Front of hotel on sea wall walk. While nothing was stolen while I was there and I did use the safe, lots of signs saying that the hotel was not responbile for any theft on site, not very reasurring. So, if internet access and iffy security okay, then it is a great place to stay.

We chose this hotel based on its location, its Caribbean views & previous reviews. We were not disappointed. In fact, during our vacations we often compare where we are staying to where we could stay. For convenience to the ferry, proximity to restaurants & shops, value & view, Rocamar can't be beat.

This hotel had lovely views of the ocean. We got a 3rd floor room with a LARGE king bed. The balcony had a hammock and some chairs, but it was typically too hot to relax outside. The room had an air conditioner and the place has a nice pool and outdoor lounging area. There is no breakfast, but you can make coffee anytime near the lobby. The bed was a bit too hard for my taste, but my husband thought it was fine. It is quite a walk to the North beach, but close to the plaza and lots of downtown restaurants.

Just a quick 5 minute walk from the ferry, Room was very large and clean, great view of the ocean. Everything is just a short walk away, It is not 5 stars but it's great value for money.
