Grand Oasis Sens - Adults Only - All Inclusive

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Staff was rude, restaurant food is disgusting and a lot of restaurants need reservations or they closed through out the day. Bathtub felt like it was going to cave in. Room and hotel needs updating. Alcohol beverages were horrible. The pool and beach is nice. I would never return here again.

There we’re 7 of us 2 out of 7 complained but 5 of us had a blast there. We were there 2 years ago and had a blast. But this year we were celebrating my other halves 40th and had a blast! The box restaurant was really good and Sakura was even more surprisingly delicious! Moonlight was also good the waiter we had was excellent!!

The staff was very accommodating and extremely warm... terrific beach and the hotel layout was great... rooms need some updating but nothing that would dissuade us from a return trip... the food was very good and lots of waitstaff to make the experience pleasing.... the entertainment was good, not great... there was a plumbing problem that lasted about 12 hours but nothing that was horrendous.... other guests may blast them in their reviews but we were not terribly inconvenienced... would definitely return.

Concierge staff weren’t every nice every rude. When we got to the hotel we had to wait till 3pm to get it. When they said the room was ready staff was actually doing repairs to it and smelled like chemicals. They moved us and the AC wasn’t working. We told them for 3 days and then just gave up. The concierge never really explained how everything worked with restaurants and reservations. So we didn’t really get to enjoy everything they said they had. We paid for an upgrade that we really didn’t get to use either. We won’t be staying there again.

There are stairs EVERYWHERE - be warned. If you get injured (as 2 different friends did) they'll pay for your cab to the hospital and your antibiotics ($6 USD). Our friends weren't offered ANYTHING from staff or management. Both of their injuries were the fault of the Resort, not due to negligence. Both back legs of a plastic chair snapped causing an open head wound on one, and a sharp piece of tile sliced open the foot of our other friend. During our 1 week stay the water was turned off completely on our whole floor at least 20 hours out of a 48 hour period. When the water was turned on, our shower constantly pulsed between lukewarm and scalding hot. We also had an A/C unit that could NEVER get the room below 75.2 degrees Fahrenheit (23 C) ... I mean, we had it set on full fan OVERNIGHT it couldn't even do it (also, we did keep the privacy curtains closed during the day to help). Though we called maintenance about all these issues, the only thing they fixed was a loose shower head and a clogged toilet that their 7+hours without water caused. The ceiling of our shower in the bathroom was sagging. The deposits in the toilet bowl looked to be 5 years old, at least. I talked to a gentlemen that's been coming to Cancun yearly for 26 years. He said, of Oasis properites, that if you want to get what you paid for you have to fight for it. This was before I told him ANYTHING about our experience or resort. He was right. We'd recommend you stay away, sadly.

The place looks amazing but it covers up the bad! Overall the food quality was what’s expected on all inclusive buffet style. Reservations were 2 days out on nice restaraunts so plan ahead but the service at all food locations is SLOW! And unless you tip the bartender you will be standing in line a lot. Pool bar is under a ledge, no sun at all. Rooms never really got cool and my AC leaked from my roof 4 of the 5 nights.

I can't give a review about this hotel because we did not stay there. When we arrived they were over booked and sent us to a different resort. I blame Orbitz Travel for this mistake. The hotel made it right by giving us a free say and we are looking forward to staying there next winter. I am however unhappy with my experience with Orbitz. They offered me a $25 coupon. $25 doesn't help much when flights alone are over $500 each. Poor customer service Orbitz.

We arrived to the hotel at 12pm and that had over booked the hotel. They had to send us to a different resort The Dreams Hotel it was nice.

Just left yesterday. Had a few mishaps with our first room but after upgrading to saan ka’an(which makes a huge difference, trust me) we got the room with a pool on our balcony and more access to all of the restaurants not just selected ones and top shelf liquor and access to beds on the beach. What I would change is the way they have the restaurant hookup.. you need atleast rsvp two days before you go there. That part is confusing and not all restaurants are open causing everyone to eat at the same ones over and over. The hotel is overall

Moonlight restaurant is great! The Nutella pizza was an excellent choice for dessert. The staff was very accommodating and the beach was very pretty and clean! Would definitely be visiting again!

Nice variety of restaurants. Nice beach our room had amazing view . We had good time

Overall I had a good time, because it's hard not too with incredible weather, all you can drink and decent all you can eat food. However the hotel customer service and upkeep could use a little work. It was very odd that some of the restaurants required reservations and you had to make them at inconvenient times of the day. The hotel is fairly small, not too much happening during the day or at night. I would not return to the hotel but I do not regret going to this cheaper hotel to have a nice vacation. The pool and swim up bar was excellent, that is where I spent most of my time.

Adults only means, nit too much people around , hotel to rest and relax

Great service and food. I would definitely stay here again really enjoyed my stay here. My room was amazing

My husband and I spent 5 days and weren't sure what to expect, but we truly had a good time. The hotel had both an upscale (think lots of glass windows, marble floors etc) and a relaxed, beach vibe. I did notice, though, that it was obviously an older property. The place was well kept, but you could see the wear and patches. I think they focused on making sure the most visible places up front were renovated and sparkling. Again, the place was well kept, so not a biggie. The staff was bilingual. Not necessarily the best English for some, but it was enough. They were friendly and we were impressed that they remember our names after only a couple days. Most channels were in Spanish (other than the news channels) so it was hard to find good shows to enjoy. They did have Playboy channel which we definitely enjoyed. Most people spend a lot of time outside the room, so this may not be a big deal for most people.

Our stay was very relaxing!! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the nightlife enetertainment. The only down fall was the food it was not that great. However, we would stay there again or another Oasis property.

Hotel doesn’t have much to offer, limited food & alcohol brands you don’t recognize (cheap). Check out is at noon so if you have a later flight they don’t offer you any accommodations.

My experience was somehow half part of it possitive, restriccions to use 3 restaurants, Construcción/repairs on lobby's cealing, construccion's Workers giving dirty look to my lady. I'm not happy with this experience

Wonderful place to stay. The views from all over the resort are simply awesome. Food is very diverse and amazing. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Dear Sirs I am writing to you post our holiday at the Grand Oasis Sens in Cancun. Due to the number of reviews I have since read on multiple websites concerning your hotel, you must be aware of a number of complaints, which all reference the same issues. The hotel is superficially nice looking. However, there is clearly a plumbing issue going on structurally, which is causing terrible damp/mildew and mold throughout the whole of the hotel. The first room we were allocated smelled so bad this together with the bathroom flooding, rendered us having to not only ask, but to demand that we change rooms. The second room still had a damp smell, so much so our clothes that were hung on the closet still carried the smell all the way home on the plane and from our suitcases. The water coming from the taps was yellow. The hotel food was poor, the hot meals were cold and the hotel was generally dirty and run down but the smell of damp was horrendous. It is awful for the staff working and breathing in the damp mold spores. There were copious complaints gong on from hotel guests, all in the same vein and one couple in particular who had paid thousands for their holiday, were moved to another Oasis hotel (The Tulum) only to find out the exact same issues were ongoing. On one occasion a couple were going berserk in the hotel reception about the fact they had paid £4,000.00 for their holiday. Health Hazar.
