The room was great, staff competent and friendly but....the loud stereo playing heavy metal at the bottom deck bar really killed the chill mood created by the setting. Also, good luck getting good food for the price. For example, we ordered Huevos Rancheros for breakfast and they served it with a blended pasta sauce instead of the tomatoes, onions and chili sauce that defines the dish. Also, the "lemon mousse dessert" for dinner as described by the waitress, was really an ice cream sandwich covered with whip cream. However, the margaritas were good as was the music in the main bar.
This hotel has changed my idea of a beach vacation. I have always wanted to stay at a resort that was all inclusive but not overly expensive. When I booked the hotel I thought it would be average due to the affordable price. When I got there I was so shocked at how beautiful it was and everything they offered. The service of every single person, the front desk, house keeping, and restaurant staff was 10/10. They are all so kind and accommodate you. The room was beautiful and easily accessible to their gorgeous serene pool. You can easily walk down the hotel and towards the boardwalk and access all the activities or jump right in the CRYSTAL CLEAR water. The hotel offers snorkeling and paddling for their hotel guests !! This was the best pick, I literally just stayed at this hotel for 4 days and did not feel the need to go out anywhere. Everything was accessible here, along with great food at their restaurant. Breakfast is complimentary and it was so delicious ! This is one of the few hotels I would repeat. Thank you for such an amazing stay <3
Stayed for just one night, but thoroughly enjoyed. Kin ha restaurant was good, the view is spectacular. Our room was large, but dark, but we enjoyed our little private patio. Amenities were wonderful.
This place is a slice of paradise. Great Breakfast included with stay. Breathtaking views. Nahim was so helpful & kind. We loved being near the south end away from the crowds on the island. My kids enjoyed the Infinity pool at the hotel even more than the ones by the restaurant.
Just beautiful getaway on the south end of Island! Beach front views! Rooms spacious and well decor throughout boutique! Multiple pools and beach front in your backyard! Enjoy food and drinks behind hotel! Staff pleasant and even room service also available!
Checked in on Saturday and beautiful room and view of ocean. Enjoyed dinner and drinks at Kin Ha.Stayed for happy hour and listened to the music. Great evening. Sunday just relaxing and enjoying the ocean paddle boarding and snorkling Monday getting ready to go down for dinner and all power goes out at the hotel. Staff was fantistic all hand on deck. Informed by electrical company power will be off a few days.We were moved to hotel next door.Staff took care of everything.Still ate and drank at Kin Ha and used all the amenties. Will return
Did not stay at the hotel, but stayed at nearby condo. Used the beach twice, as kayaks and paddle boarding was free if you ordered drinks and food from Kin Ha. Food was great, service was good and had a very laid back day of water activities and snorkeling.
We ran into Dido in town the night before. He told us about Casa de los Suenos. The next day we took a golfcart up the island. There are many activities to do such as paddle boarding, snorkeling, and a rope swing. The view is amazing and there are two pools complete with a swim up bar. Dido made our time at Casa de los Suenos special. The service was incredible and we felt right at home.
Casa de los suenos is a slice of heaven and an amazing place to stay .From all the workers that are involved at this quaint little place it’s just like being at home . The interaction the one one one communication is amazing the food is spectacular and the sunsets are one of the best on Isla a must place to go stay and see .For me it’s like going home amazing people great food smiles laughs and great fun every day
I’ve been coming to Case de los Suenos for 3 years. I was a bit hesitant this time due to some of the 2018 reviews, but I went regardless and am so glad I did. While the ownership has changed, the staff is the same – sweet and helpful as always. Especially Rose, Luigi and Nahim at reception who we had the most interaction with, but I know there were many others who work there whose name I did not remember (bad on me) who were equally fabulous. I stayed this time in what is probably their “least nice” room – the double with no ocean view, Freedom, which looks out across the street at buildings and trees with a tiny peak at the ocean. No matter – it was a super cute and spacious room, absolutely heavenly beds, perfect AC, and if we wanted to look at the ocean we simply went up to the pool by the lobby. I emailed Rose ahead of time and asked if they could arrange for a golf cart to be delivered to the hotel for us and she arranged it all, for only slightly more than we would have paid had we gone into town to rent the cart ourselves. I do recommend renting a golf cart since it’s so fun to drive around the island. For restaurants, some of my favorites are: Kin-Ha (at the hotel), Madero (small menu but super delicious rice bowls and burgers right on the water), Rinaldis (upscale in an open-air dining room – incredible Italian food), Bastos (super laid back, great for basic tacos, quesadillas), Las Brisas (good variety of items, consistently good, no view but still worthwhile), Oscars when you are craving pizza, and two others that I didn’t try but lots of people recommended to us include Olivia’s and Lola Valentina. Also recommend a super cooking class, Cooking with Abuelita Angelita. Really a cool thing to do with friends or family. When we did this, we signed up for an early cooking class and then went to North Beach for the afternoon which made for a perfect day. Over the years I have stayed in the following rooms: Amor (king room) and Harmonia (double) – both very good and very similar. Freedom – discussed above. Serenity – my personal favorite but a bit of a splurge, and honestly if cost is an issue, you will also be very happy in any of the other less expensive rooms. The Presidential Suite – Oh La La. I only stayed there 2 nights and then switched to a less expensive room due to cost, but holy smokes the presidential suite is amazing so if you can splurge, it is definitely worth the splurge. I have had family members stay in the Moon room off the pool and it was also great, just not as private since it does open to the pool. I have traveled to Casa de los Suenos with my husband, with 3 generations of my family, and also with a friend, and each time I / we have had a fabulous time. Finally, the resident dog and cat are The Cutest.
