As I'm usually here on a monthly basis (and this for the last 10 years), I have to say: the things that are well remain well but requests for improvement have been (and probably will be....) ignored. Funny enough, as everytime you receive the typical "How do we measure up?"- questionaires with the request for suggestions to improve the hotels' services. So again: - location is good - rooms are ok - staff is absolutely friendly and very costumer-oriented!!!! - service during breakfst outstanding Now for the downturn: - Waterkettle in each room would be great (it doesn't help that there is a coffee-maker downstairs in the lobby) - the internet-speed (even the complimentary deal) is great BUT: to have a signal stable enough for internet-calls, you need to go to the upper deck, business center or lobby. Inside the rooms the signal is most of the times too weak! Different and/or more routers are needed - the gym is a bad joke. Needs a definite brush-up on equipment!!!!!
... is not always better.... staff is still friendly but service is in decline... breakfast was sparse but food was fresh... room service is another thing... if it takes over 1h to get a chicken sandwich than that's not a great standard for hotel that is not too busy but the food is fresh... probably won't come back for a while so let's see what changes the next time around
Very friendly service. Very well organised check in/out. Have been here the last 15 years or so ( flight crew ) and certainly one of the better hotels in Campinas. Few good restaurants wirhin walking distance.
The room was clean, spacious, quiet. Housekeeping were very attentive (to the extent of tidying for you). The reception staff were genuinely friendly and helpful; by far the best I've experienced in years. The air-conditioning was quiet (important if you're trying to sleep in a hot climate), and the bed was very comfortable. I particularly like all the extras provided that many hotels seem to be dropping these days: bathrobes, mini-bar, etc. There are a lot of additional services available that I was unaware of because I booked through an agent, so make sure you check the web site and in-room literature (things like approved taxis, car rental, and so on). The hotel is well located for central Campinas, apparently one of the batter places to stay.
I have visited this hotel in Dec 25 2016 to Jan 04 2017 New year party was very good and food quality of services is amazing Hotel is having fitness center, spa, very good. Its center of the city and easy to accessible to near by hotels and shopping complex
When I travel there for business I stay always in this hotel. Comfortable, quite, in a central area with no too many issues outside (rare in the Country). The rooms and the bathrooms are ok, they should only to be a bit refurbished, but clean enough, Good selection for breakfast and very friendly personnel, there and at the reception too, at any time of the day. A bit lower price would be more suitable for the level of what the hotel offers.
I landed in Sao Paulo and then taxied 3h to get to Campinas... a small town which I quite like ... the hotel is not bad but also not outstanding ... the rooms a average but clean which as you know it most important to me... beds are not very comfortable bit manageable room service is good fresh and tasty food but there might be a language barrier... breakfast is also good but the selection is very sparse ... all in all tho it's a nice little hotel which will accommodate your needs for your stay
I stayed at the Royal Palm Tower on a business trip to Brazil. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable placed. The front desk service is great- some of the receptionists speak in 5 different languages and all are very professional and helpful. Rooms are nice and clean and the top floor gym is just what one needs from a hotel gym, with a nice big jacuzzi and sitting area. The stay could have been complete if only the restaurant in the lobby, Contemporaneo was at least descent! We were three for dinner on Sunday night- The service was OK but very slow even though there was only one more table at the restaurant, however the food was close to inedible. I ordered the cream of heart of Palm soup and the sole with turmeric and herbs risotto - sounds promising ! The soup was no more then puréed hearts of palms with cream, thick and grainy. The sole was a disaster- burnt and cooked to death next to a pile of pale orange cheesy risotto - the only herb in site was a leaf of parsley for decoration. I left my plate almost untouched - the waiter who cleared the table did not even bother to ask if it was OK. Probably a smart choice. The Papaya cream seemed like a smoothie made of the left over breakfast papaya and cream- it was edible, or maybe I was just hungry. All in all- good hotel option but you are better off with the candy in your room than dinner at the restaurant or better yet just walk to Facca restaurant and have great traditional sandwiches and caipirinha !
Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during my business trip to São Paulo. The room was clean and comfortable, but the AC was not getting cold. The room service food was good and the breakfast was good as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located at a convenient location close to restaurants and shopping. Overall a great hotel specially for a business stay.
I was in Campinas, Brazil for two weeks on a business trip and luckily I had chosen the Royal Palm Tower as my home away from home. The property is tucked away in a residential area of Campinas, across from a local park. Most importantly, the hotel is located near a supermarket within a 5 minute walking distance, and at least a dozen or more restaurants within a 10 minute walking distance. One of my favorite Campinas eating spots (Catedral de Chop - Cathedral of Beer) is a short 15 minute walk from the hotel. There is also a major shopping center (Iguatemi) within a 10 minute cab ride. The mall itself has great shopping options and restaurants to choose from. The rooms are spartan, but comfortable, with a small sitting area. The bathroom is tiny compared to what we are used to in the US, but well laid out. Closet space is lacking, but manageable. Overall, this was my third hotel I had stayed at over the course of the year during my visits to Campinas, and hands down, this will be my choice for all future visits.
