Check in was a crazy 45 minute wait. No explanation or apology from the front desk. On our first day the hotel seemed understaffed. Wait for a snack at the pool was 50 min. Good rooms, very clean. Food was tasty however the dessert selection could be more diverse. I was there with my family and the kids loved the pool areas. Nice gym and play area for children. The grounds are well taken care of.
This is truly a resort with excellent staff, great infrastructure and outstanding gastronomy. Best for families with children. Only minor weak point is the lack of proper warm water swimming pools. Great value for your money.
The Royal Palm is a resort in the suburbs of Campinas and it has a wide range of sports and spa activities. The food is one of the best thing in the hotel as it has a great breakfast and then a choice of restaurants. Good for both family or larger conventions.
This hotel is most suitable for everyone. It has a wide layout, courtyard pool and fine dining. The rooms are well suited to the advanced traveller. The staff is very helpful and provide for your every need.
It is a good hotel, I wouldn't say excelent, food is ok. We left the room at 8 am and when we came back at 4 pm the room was not ready. They are very slow to service the rooms. Food at breakfast is on but not a resort type of food.
The good: - Perfect place from children between 4 and 10 years old; - Teams of entertainers segmented by kids age; - Property is huge and offers a huge amount of entertainment activities, from the various swimming pools to a mini village with a castle, space ship, circus activities, etc. - Kids are delivered straight to the apartments when play is over; - Mini cars spread throughout the resort helps mobility of the smaller ones (below 4); - Service if good (the crew is very polite), with the exception of a couple of bizarre instances we went through: we were awaken by room service at 00:30 (!) and the next day at 22:30 (!). The Bad - The resort is 100% designed for kids. If you are an adult you will suffer due to a few things: - Check-in and check-out are very, very slow. Especially when you are traveling with a couple of kids below 5 years old; - Even though there is an enormous variety of food, it all tastes the same, just like any other all inclusive resort; - If you order anything not included in the package (like a beer) you will be skinned alive. Prices are unreasonably high. In a nutshell, if you have kids between 4 and 10 this is the place to go.
Stayed here for one night. It's a really nice place. It is quite huge with an excellent pool, gym and spa. We didn't eat at the restaurant other than breakfast so I can't comment on the food however the breakfast was very good. Seemed like there was a lot to do for kids. Nice place.
Excellent resort with excellent bedrooms, good food and wonderful activities to family with children with special scenarios ( castle, ship, house and mill), with games and entertainers . And is a nice place for group meetings.
Stayed here over a long weekend during a solo business trip. I arrived early and the front desk staff checked me in so I would not have to wait once the afternoon rush hit. I had an appointment so that worked out for me. When I returned, I was waved around the check in line and given my keys. The resort grounds are fabulous. Tennis, gymnasium, fitness center, kids play area (with multi-story castle), and of course a great pool area. The room I was given was not a 5 star room, but was in pretty good shape. Comfortable bed and great walk in shower. The grounds were beautiful and lush. I did not try the better restaurants in the resort. I stuck to pool bar and local street food on my jaunts around town. The pool bar was perfect for a solo traveler. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to inquire if assistance was needed numerous times. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in the Campinas area.
From start to end, a big disappointment: check-in on Sunday, no one to help with the luggage. Then I wasgiven rooms on the ground floors which is unacceptable for a single woman. No explanation from the reception on how to find the room and again no bell boy to help. When I got to the room, big disappointment with a filthy carpet, stains on the wall, hairs from other people in the bathroom, stains on the bedsheets and on the chairs. I complain 3 times to the reception, to no avail. On top, you cannot slide the doors of the closet, so basically cannot unpack. The gym has a variety of equipment, but very dirty, the staff only watches you, but never removes the perspiration on the machines, and does not clean the floor. For restaurants, breakfast buffet is ok, good bread selection, but a pity that for a 5 star hotel there is no fresh juice. Dinner is very little choice, between the buffet and the french restaurant which has a limited menu. Wine list is disappointing since many wines are not available. We ordered for 3 consecutive evening wines which was not replaced and still on the list. Staff at the restaurants only wait to remove your plate but do not help you to pour wine and do not bother on cleaning the tables. On several instances I had to tell them that the "clean" tables were not acceptable with food stains on them. Finally, the reception is useless: although booking directly with the hotel website, staff refused to hand over an invoice, and could not propose a solution. 4 reception employees to cash in an invoice of 400 BRL, this is a good sign of efficiency and result-oriented of this hotel. For all these reasons, I cannot recommend this hotel, and would never return to one of the hotels of this group
