Compact comfortable apartment, in a family neighborhood with own separate access. Exactly as described. Very clean, with microwave, huge fridge freezer, and coffee maker. Walk in shower, in a good sized bathroom. Great place to stay. Easy to access, and great communication from the host. Would stay there again,if we find ourselves in Calgary.

Cozy unit, but entrance is within the owners living room

Good things first: the unit was cozy, bed was comfy and it had all the amenities we would expect. The location is very nice and walking distance to all the stores near by. The bad: There was no mention on the listing that we would have to walk through the front door to get to the basement suite. Since most basement suites have a separate entrance I didn't even think to ask. Was awkward having to walk in between the family to get in and out (they were very nice though). There were some stains on the walls, a broken bathroom mirror.

Fine but needs improvements

It was mostly clean but the table/desk needed cleaning. The supplied cutlery was also dirty. It was used and had not been wiped off. Some shelves or hooks in the bathroom would be very helpful as there is no where to put your toiletries, nor any way to clean the cutlery/dishwater you may use. The iron is old and scorched a hole in the shirt I tried to iron. We were supplied only two towels and one facecloth for two people.

I booked this basement suite for my daughter to spend most of the summer back in Calgary with her friends. Jonah’s place is within walking distance to many of her friends so the location is perfect for her. Jonah and his family were very kind and accommodating to any requests I/she had. Will definitely be booking it for her next summer.
