Very nice location next to Tahir square. Great amenities and price for the location

I’ve never seen bedding as disgusting as this in all my world travels. Blood and every stain you can think of on every piece of bedding and mattress in tons of locations. Had to turn everything inside out etc. Staff was kind enough but not exceptional. Just a real big let down. Don’t get a city view room because you’ll be looking at the side of a building.

The location is very appropriate to have access to Down town, banks, all kinds of stores, coffee shops, etc.

I had a great experience lodging there at the hotel. Everything was great.

I liked everything, very clean and fragrant

This property is an oasis in an otherwise seedy area. It is surrounded by severe blight, although that is Cairo. However, the hotel is very secure and we felt entirely safe. The staff is very friendly and our room, and the hotel in general, was very clean. They also have a nice exercise room which we utilized. The breakfast in the morning is not included and will cost you $16USD/person. We didn't partake but it looked pretty good. The bar/lounge in the lobby serves coffee, drinks and snacks. Beware, however if you order a hard liquor drink. I had 3 Jack Daniel's and water and did not ask the price, thinking it couldn't be more than what I've paid in Manhattan. Wrong! It turned out to be $25 per drink!! Guess I should have asked and so buyer beware. They have Heineken on tap and was more reasonable. The location is very close to the Museum of antiquities, which was what I really wanted to see. Have fun crossing the streets there; it's like a live version of the old video game Frogger! It a good 30 minutes taxi ride to pyramids but you will have no trouble finding a taxi, they are very pesky and will constantly ask you or honk at you to see if you need their services. I would suggest booking a tour with driver ahead of time.

We were lucky to stay in steigenburger Hotel for a week. Everything was best. Rooms, staff, restaurant, food, cleanliness, service was super. There is absolutely nothing to mention that was lacking. Not to forget the location in downtown Cairo is the best in Cairo.

I chose this hotel for quality and location. First time at this chain. Was in a superior room. Bathroom was a bit small. Pool was nice. Wifi was tricky to get connected but worked fine .

Only problem we have in this hotel is smoking. Hotel smell like cigarettes every where even our none smoking room because they don't care where people smoke. Other than that we don't have any problems with this hotel at all. Breakfast a little bit pricey but good.

Hotel Tarhir in Cairo is an exquisite place to stay, great staff, wonderful security, beautiful venue.
